Muzan's methodical tapping game with the unseen siren is such a brilliant and chilling introduction to his character treating even potential communication as just another data point to be recorded and analyzed And the way he dismisses the chatty beta without a word returning to his perfectly arranged desk perfectly establishes him as someone who values control and precision over human connection You set the tone so masterfully right from the start.

I'm really curious: when Muzan finally comes face to face with the sirens which of the three do you think will challenge his cold analytical approach the most? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

I'm glad you enjoyed my fic!

Honestly I was really trying hard to make muzans personality as close to canon as possible from the get go. I know how important first impressions are and that how you go about writing a character can affect the story and those who reads it completely. Trust me. I've read fanfics with good plot but how the characters were written totally killed the mood for me. The way a writer writes the characters is everything, the first chapter alone is supposed to set a clear tone and get people hooked. (I learned this from the manga study I was/am doing. Very good tips!)

The whole time I was writing I was constantly worrying if I made Muzan cold enough, selfish enough, etc. Your feedback really helped me see I did a good job. You're actually the first to reach out to me about one of my fics with feedback. Thank you for that! This is only my second fic and my first isn't even done yet lol. I'm still new to being a fanfic writer, you flatter me when you say my writing is "masterful"! Truly!

Now for your question.

I'd say Subject U2: Dōma would pose the most problems for muzan just like in the canon story. U2 still has the canon Dōma's personality like being careless and unserious which directly counters everything Muzan is as you can imagine.

In all my fics 90% of the time I'll be writing the characters with their og personalities and stuff because thats just how I imagine and prefer them. Of course things will be tweaked a bit depending on the plot/ships but yeah.

Fair warning though. Don't expect any mushy stuff here, when I do ships with the upper moons they are most likely gonna be toxic because thats just how demons are. There may be a few "fluffy" moments.
