Garrett didn’t know why he was the one that was tasked with meeting the music majors, even if he did technically do his minor in music. It was that he remembered that the music majors were the most rambunctious people he ever had to deal with, and he was much more astute and reserved than the vast majority of them. It didn’t mean he didn’t know how to have fun, it was just a lot harder for him to let down those barriers
It was almost the end of the documentary shooting when he would be face to face with one of them, in a dressing room barely wide enough for two people to be in without some sort of contact, and yet here Garrett was, getting changed out of the interviewing clothes to some jogging clothes as he told his cousin that he would meet him for a long run after the shoot today. But there was a small problem with that. He still had to get out of the clothes and not get distracted by the young man who was still in the room and was sort of like him at that age, seeing someone who had been able to help but he wasn’t going to let him get what he wanted all that easily. “You can look all you want, but if you don’t speak up, all you’re gonna do is look.”
