Itâs not like he doesnât understand it. Since his very first year in college, heâs been educated on the importance of costumes and their relevance on character presentation and development in an visual art form. Surely, fashion isnât a priority among his interests in life, even when measuring the vaguest of them, but he feels competent enough in the matter to disdainfully wave a hand at it and proclaim he gets it, preferrably in a voice that's a painful echo of his late teenage arrogance.
Heâd caught the flicker of fire in Keyâs glare when he made the first off-handed comment. It had been mostly a joke on the willingly ignorant on fashion than otherwise, although Rioh isnât entirely sure if he is that sharp on sarcasm tonight, beaten to pulp after a long day of staring at animated dots and lines scuttling about on a computer screen. While he wouldnât usually dwell on how efficient his attempts at sarcasm are, the thought comes to mind when he notices Key throws him a much indiscreet glance that dumps his own weight in condescension on Riohâs lap.
Unfortunately for each of the poor souls gathered by that table, he finds himself entirely too fond of the crease forming between Keyâs eyebrows. Instead of apologizing or taking a shot at explaining himself, Rioh takes the shortest branch he can put his fingers on and proceeds to poke the stirring beast.
âWhatâs with the long face over there?â he turns to Key, all smiles as he rests his jaw on a hand while the look he offers leaves a question implied: can't take a joke? âInto fashion, are you?â
