This year, I promised myself that I would complete all 8 days, and ended up publishing nearly 27k words across 5 fics. I'd been in a slump with writing for a while, and putting aside IRL things that might've impeded things, coming into this event I wanted to try a different approach to see if I could make writing easier for me. This meant loosening the iron grip I often hold on each and every word and punctuation I choose to put down, and just focussing on delivering the essential ideas clearly. After all, there are so many drafts that I have kept floating in my head (/computer/notes app/notebooks/random stationery stolen from the office) it's not even funny, and it was clear I needed to get much more comfortable getting a story out with clarity — all the decor can come later once it has been completed. Also, since I tried my best to stick to the days, I didn't do the usual step of waiting for a couple days before one last round of editing/proofing (which I often dread anyway lol), so they may be a bit rougher than my earlier works.

(Not to say that the arts were easy, btw, but we already know how hard drawing is.)

I hope that everyone liked the ideas I put out for these prompts — my favourite was definitely Day 1 (and not *just* bc of the smut ok), that idea had been brewing in my head since last year but worldbuilding is always intimidating to me, so I'm proud to have overcome it. I'm also happy about publishing Teamwork, which was an idea that would sometimes get me giggling out of the blue. Thanks for all the kudos, comments, likes, reblogs, reposts, and if you have thoughts/inclinations to gush about Starshipping in general please do leave them — that's the best part to me about creating fanworks!

What was the truth behind those wounds? And did Yusei really want to find out? As these questions slowly eroded his faith throughout these waiting days, he began to discover a side of himself that he didn't recognise.
