FALL OUT OF SUMMER
Tonight Fieger is working a theme on the change of seasons from summer to fall, so I did some posterboys personifying one of each having a nice cuddle. They came out pretty much the same, but then I was just developing the same prompt without outside references, so that was bound to happen. I also took the final prompt over to StarryAI to see what it would make of it, and got some more diversity of style.
WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE?
For Fieger's poster, I started off trying to capture the idea of Thursday Rock and Weird, the stated theme of the set; first in MidJourney, then in StarryAI and taking the results back to MidJourney for further development. But I also tried a drop-and-Describe with a picture I found on Pinterest I liked, and that's what we ended up using for the poster.
Speaking of MidJourney, I broke down and bumped my subscription back up to the middle tier; I wanted to make textures for a Halloween collection and needed to have those before my MidJourney hours were set to renew, so I bit the bullet and forked over the extra ducats, and hope that doesn't fuck my budget for end-of-year expenses.
IT WAS AN...EXPERIMENT!
I was futzing around with other users' prompts on StarryAI and came up with some interesting pictures, not really in a theme that I could use for Starfall posters, but worth sharing here anyway :)
EURO BLUEBOYS
My September blues set is dedicated to European blues musicians, and so I asked StarryAI for "European Blues, beautiful young man in the style of Pierre et Gilles, queer academia gay interest glamour fashion fine art photography HDR" and got some beauties. I took some of those beauties over to MidJourney to Describe and brought those results back and tweaked them with references from the first set, and ended up with more posterboys than I can even post here.

CRAAAAAANBERRIES!
For Dolores O'Riordan's birthday, I made posters with cranberries in, by a variety of methods... most successfully asking for "Rock and Roll Saturday, handsome young man listening to The Cranberries" as the prompt and the cover art for the Cranberries' Wake Up and Smell the Coffee album as the style reference. Then I took the one most like what I wanted and dropped it into MidJourney's Describe mechanism, then brought those prompts back to StarryAI for development. It worked pretty well, and gave me a variety of very similar pictures that were just different enough to make it hard to decide which one to use for my poster.
Completely side-note, the title refers to Carol Channing in Thoroughly Modern Millie, where she says "Raaaaaazzzzberries!" as sort of her catchphrase throughout the film. However, the script called for her to "blow raspberries," but Miss Channing didn't know what that meant so just said "raspberries!" and it worked so well in the reading that the director wrote it in. A little bit of film trivia I picked up this week.
HEAD OUT ON THE HIGHWAY
We're celebrating the 56th anniversary of Easy Rider premiering in London for its European release. For the poster I asked for "Movie poster for a remake of Easy Rider starring Jacob Elordi and Austin Butler, close shot riding fancy motorcycles on the desert highway, wearing leather jackets to show off their abs, queer academia gay interest dramatic composition cinematic lighting" in MidJourney and StarryAI and threw in images from the movie poster for reference; and cross-referenced between the two until I ran out of MidJourney hours. But I got a lot of really cool pictures from both.

For tonight's Radio Randomonium I started off with just the title as a prompt in StarryAI and got a couple of pictures I really liked (among a lot I hated) and worked those up in StarryAI and Midjourney and came up with a variety of hotties.
