I go to Pinterest and looks for ages, usually under something like [character’s name + aesthetic] until I give up or when I think the combinations work well together. Then I also spend another chance of time trying out orientations, font type and size, filters, etc. A lot of this is very…IDK, low-key because I don’t use photoshop, so I’m limited with the program that I use.
And I do follow people! @avicennacrowe and @buffonia make some of my favorite edits for books. @dailyschwab is where I also find my favorite content.

aah thank you sarah!! yep i made my icon, but honestly i just played around with solid colour rectangles and used the crop tool, so i’m not too sure about any tips i could give 😅 definitely have patience, though, because it almost never turns out like how you envisioned it the first time around. good luck!!
