                        “ well, i can help with one of those. “         dick joked, sneaking a quick walk-by kiss as he ambled around their apartment, packing the miscellaneous items he’d missed the first go round. okay: toothbrush, sunglasses, sandals, bathing suit (optional), change of clothes  .  .  .   RING.      check, check, check,   check’s all around. which, was actually   MORE   stressing because having nothing to do would mean he’d have to confront the buzzing stab of fear that settled into the pit of his stomach. he always went too fast. in fact, that was kind of his   thing.   he leaped before he looked, and he was so used to catching himself that the possibility of falling was  .  .  .   paralyzing.                           what if she said no? worse: what if she said yes, but didn’t mean it? no, dick couldn’t think about that--- kori was nothing if not honest, and this was the smart, rational next step. dick loved her, and didn’t want to think of a future without her in it. if she said no, they’d deal with that. they were friends before they were anything more, and she wouldn’t be anything but nice about it. and if she said yes  .  .  .     well, life was about taking risks, no?       “ you all packed, babe? we should get to the airport early, i don’t want to miss our flight. “

     roy breathes in -- out, heart slow and steady as he lines up the shot.  it’s odd, even still, to hold the line taut with his prosthetic arm.  sophisticated though it may be, it’s not quite the same as flesh and blood.  another moment passes; he readjusts the trajectory just slightly.  thwick.  the arrow pierces just a centimeter left of the target’s center, but roy swears under his breath all the same.  

    ❛ shades off aaaand shades on. yes or no? ❜     there’s a slight bob of blonde hair as concealed eyes examine the look in a small mirror. but before any response is received && almost immediately, her head shakes.    ❛ nah — makes my nose look big. you should try ‘em though. ❜    AIMLESS SHOPPING;; a kryptonian’s favorite past time activity.
