"After viewing this book, my 3 grandsons (ages 5, 7 & 10) easily understood why people are fat and sick, and how they become well by eating the “green light” foods and avoiding the “red light” ones. Please share this free picture book with your friends, family and co-workers." ~ Dr. McDougall I personally took Dr. McDougall's advice only once in my life for 4 months (Jan-Apr '13) and it was the best I'd ever felt in my adult life. I lost about 15-20 lbs of extra weight. Any random joint & muscle pains went away. I had no acid reflux at all and that's even with eating as much red sauce as I wanted. My psoriasis completely cleared up. I was going to the bathroom like a champ. I felt extra energy all the time (including in the bedroom 👉🏼👌🏼). Best thing, my blood sugar levels were under control even though I was having a carb heavy diet. My cholesterol levels were perfect. I should do it again! LOL WTF?!!! It's really hard to maintain being that I'm a social person and food (the ones not allowed in this diet) is a very important thing in Western culture. I felt isolated but I'm gonna try it again. I can make it work. Even if I slip at times (weddings, birthdays, etc.), I'll just start again. It's kinda like dealing with an addiction. I'm blabbing too much. Check the book out. It's good stuff even if you try to mostly follow the diet, it'll help. Wish me luck! ✌🏼️💚

I’ve been eating High carb low fat vegan (starch based) for a month now and I feel honestly so good.
I started eating this way because during the summer I had zero energy what so ever. I was miserable. I physically could not get out of bed before 10:30am (or even later sometimes) even when I went to bed at 11pm. I was in a daze all day and always felt like I needed a nap. If I did lay down for a “quick rest” I would pass out for around 2 hours. I felt like I could not do anything with my days and I was lonely and depressed.
Eating this way I have not had that problem. I go to bed around the same time and am able to wake up and start my day at 7am with energy (sometimes I wake up on my own even earlier). I always have energy to workout which I did not have in the summer. I can eat all the food I want until I am satisfied and it just feels so freeing. Of course I am human and still get a little tired if I lay around and do nothing all day or if I have to wake up at 4:45 am for clinical but that is normal, what I was feeling before was far from normal.
I am not sure because I do not own a scale in my apartment but sometimes I feel like I might be gaining a little weight. I think this is normal because of my history with disordered eating and then always counting my calories and restricting to try to loose weight. I believe this will level out eventually and I will find my natural healthy weight.
Though the thought of gaining scares me the thought of living an unhappy and unhealthy life is more frightening and I had been doing that for far too long. I feel much healthier than I ever have, I feel happier, and I feel energized and strong. I just want to be able to continue healing my body and becoming a happier and better person everyday. Its hard because people do judge this lifestyle but I’m dealing with criticism the best that I can.
