just remember that all the queer people who we have lost in the battle for our rights are happy now
all the boys are kissing all the boys
all the girls are kissing all the girls
and not one person is told who can and who they can't be
but even still, we still need to keep fighting down here
to make sure the next generation of queer people doesn't have to suffer the same pain we did
this pride month, make sure not to bow your head or shy away from things that seem scary
it's important now more than ever to stand up for each other
and to never let them take away what makes us human
