Remember They Might Be Giants say Trans Rights!!!
Here is Danny Weinkauf sporting this amazing shirt at the KEXP radio show they did last year on June 16th (2025). I was there also! It was an odd experience because the viewing room was broken but they didn't know that until we were all in there waiting for them to start. We couldn't hear anything and we couldn't leave during the performance. So I got to lip-sync the songs silently whilst bouncing to the beat of Marty's drums since that was all we could (barely) hear! Super weird but I was able to identify every song they played just because this was literally my 12th TMBG concert in 2025.
the year is 2082. John and John are still alive, and somehow appear younger. The rest of the band is alive, though not nearly as young looking as the johns. The horns are dead. Robin looks better than ever. There’s a new missing persons report in New York nearly every week. The police can’t find a trace of anyone. The sniffer dogs lead to nowhere. They can’t pick up a scent.
What are the johns doing? are they evil?
Happy Birthday to @bells12 and They Might Be Giants' own Stan Harrison!
Now I get it. It's one of those "spot the differences" puzzles.

They Might Be Giants at Brooklyn Steel
On Friday, May 29, 2026, They Might Be Giants continued their three night stand at Brooklyn Steel in Brooklyn, NY. The band released their 24th studio album, The World Is to Dig, in April and performed different albums in their entirety each night. The second evening was their Factory Showroom record that was released 30 years ago. John Flansburgh and John Linnell were accompanied by a full band (Marty Beller on drums, Dan Miller on guitar, Danny Weinkauf on bass, plus a horn section featuring Dan Levine, Stan Harrison, and Mark Pender) and performed two full sets each night, separated by an intermission where they performed “Sapphire Bullets of Love” backwards in the first set, and played the video in reverse to begin the second set to prove they learned to perform the song backwards. They began their run of three shows at Brooklyn Steel on Thursday, May 28th and concluded on Saturday, May 31st.
Flansburgh joked that Factory Showroom would be performed along with other favorites that they didn’t rehearse, and that the album’s “vinyl copies are available nowhere...and that's not about to change” but the band’s website mentions that the album will be reissued in different platforms sometime in the future.
I covered the great show for Bowery Presents and the full gallery is now available on “The House List.”
They Might Be Giants – Brooklyn Steel – May 29, 2026
Singer and multi-instrumentalist John Linnell and singer-guitarist John Flansburgh have been making sweet, melodic music as They Might Be Giants for nearly 45 years. They put out their 26th EP, Eyeball, in January, and their 24th LP, The World Is to Dig, in April. On Friday, they played the second of three nights at Brooklyn Steel.

Name for Album 24 dropped, "Unintentional and Uncomfortable"
I like how he ends it with, "Thank you". I'm dying.
