Not much people here knows the stalker lore but! hopefully this will make sense out of context too. Or I will sound crazy idk Imri (hereinafter “Eighth” which was the number scientists gave him. He still has his name but it's used only by a couple of people) is a half-mutant half-human experiment, which, unlike Faust, (SPOILER mutant who completely retained his human appearance) went kinda badly and they got 8 instead. He's half Izlom (or Fracture, we're talking about cut mutant) so his mutated hand is the main thing that gives him away, he usually hides it under the coat. He's a bit feral (in every sense, basically, just like his original lore lol) and has some of this mutant abilities, while still staying a glass canon (you can just immobilize pseudolimb and he becomes completely useless). Doesn't know how to act human and doesn't communicate with them much too (besides Doctor, who saved him and doesn't mind 8's situation) because they probably would shoot him on sight. So he just stays with Doctor isolated and lives his best life now. We don't talk about the main quest line is stalker 2. It doesn't exist. Doctor is fine
