I personally really like the idea of Newton and Marlon adopting Sackboy in an AU. Like, a long while after canon, when Newton is more emotionally stable and capable of caring for a child:)
Like, I like the idea of Sackboy always wanting a parental figure in his life, someone to lean on, ya know? And they never got that.
And since Marlon is such cool dad material and Newton with paternal instincts for Sackboy makes me so happy, why not make them adopt them?
(I hc Sackboy and all the heroes are nonbinary despite sackboy having “boy” in the name, and Sackboy goes by they/he. It would be fun:3)
Oh, to add to this, Marlon and Newton would probably forbid Sackboy from going on dangerous quests, so I guess someone else would have to take Sackboy’s place in SABA.

Newton: “YOU’RE GOING WHERE?”
*Sackboy points at a Bomb Survival level link*
“Oh, no you don’t!! That’s outrageous!!”
*Newton pulls them by the arm and tries to take them away, Sackboy gives a sad frown*
*Newton sighs, seeing the puppy eyes they’re making, and softens*
“…I’ll buy you a video game instead. Alright?”
Or, if not, they would be like the gay uncles to Sackboy and Sackgirl that they would be constantly visiting together from Craftsworld:) (This hc was influenced by @thedarlingmarlon, who shared it with me while we were exchanging headcannons.
