He says, "Likened to the Code of Chivalry used by the Royal Knights of England, the Code of Bushido used by the Japanese Samurai has been prevalent in culture long after the extinction of the warriors who used it. I have long searched for this book in order to read how the Samurai lived and applying it to my own life. Finally finding it has been a small victory for myself; reading it, even more so. Before Nitobe penned this book, it had not been written down in text, merely passed down through word of mouth. It is not only an honor code used by Samurai, but it also is a well-worded moral code of living day to day life. It talks about focusing on finding the inner peace of yourself while also showing care and compassion for others (both equally important).
