#TBT #MADALYN at my sister @Jennifer_Farischon's wedding July 15, 2005. Mom didn't want to wear a typical #MotherOfTheBride dress, so she/Jen found this stunning sleeveless gown. Mom ate "🥚whites and 🍎🍏" for 2 weeks before the wedding because she said she wanted to be #SSSmokin'‼️🤣 (like @jimcarrey_ in #TheMask)🎭 You were and always will be radiant, my sunshine, my best friend, my travel buddy, my co-pilot, my Mama. Saturday April 4th will be 2 years since you slipped away at sunset while Jennifer and I held your hands, Mom. You were in your recliner, surrounded by our prayers, songs and tears. You were tired. We said it was OK to go to be with Aunt Lucille and Grandma Mary and Grandpa Rocco. Today, more than ever, I pray to all of you for strength courage and wisdom to watch over our family. It was the most surreal event of my lifetime; I was/am grateful to so many who tried their very best to not only save you but to also give you comfort when you needed it most. I will never forget the pain of that moment you left us, but I will always be grateful to God that He blessed me by making you my mother! To everyone who prayed, donated, called, operated, visited, fed, worked with, and gave us support and love and faith, I can never repay you all. I can only try to pay it forward. It was the fight of our lifetime, a journey I wish we never had to take, but I am beyond honored and privileged to have never EVer left your side. You taught me so much and even now you still have presence in my thoughts, words, and deeds. I aspire to be more like you, to #MakeADifferenceAndLoveYourNeighbor , every day of what is left of my life.
