A Taste of Goji Angie of Sri Pinang has been harvesting her goji berries and brought them in for Uncle to try on his usual night at her K Rd eatery. Goji is the wonder berry. To taste them fresh is indeed special - a kind of sweetness that slowly morphs to a tartness that says this is a wonder berry. Angie says she makes tea from them, pops them in porridge, breakfast cereal, salads or whatever needs a flavour burst. Whatever is not used is frozen. After all there will be more berries to harvest tomorrow. The Claypot Rice is Uncle’s choice tonight, all resplendent with salty flavour bursts of crispy salted fish and Lup Cheong. Dining companion from Grey Lynn had Uncle’s other favourite, the Chicken Wonton Soup, freshly made and wrapped before being simmered in chicken stock. There’s Kway Teow in the soup. The Wonton Soup went down a treat. #gojiberries #thewonderberry #claypotchickenrice #chickenwontonsoup #sripinang #krd (at Sri Pinang) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7YJDohpR13/?igshid=1kw5f8qhlln1a
