“Yeah we don’t know.”
Started Sproutober bc I love painting botanicals!
Climbing Rose (Rosa 'Altissimo') OK I'm a little bit late, but here's my illustration for @kevinjaystanton's #Sproutober day one!
I'm going to be traditionally inking these paintings, then colouring digitally. I love painting in ink! I get so completely in flow. These are very loosely inspired by Cicely Mary Barker's flower fairies, but...not fairies! Just tiny people...or giant plants 🌱 I've been looking for an excuse to draw more botanically-themed illustrations, so I'm so excited to be taking part in Sproutober! More soon! I'm lucky enough to have some wild climbing roses in my garden. They wind up the tree at the back of the garden and look like stars in the milkyway!
rhododendron!

Sproutober 14: Wild Space: Immortelle (Helichrysum italicum)
Helichrysum (from the greek “ helios “ Sun and “ chrysos “ Gold) Italicum (as it has been described for the first time in Italy) is also known as Immortelle (French name, due to the fact its flowers last for a very long time), Italian strawflower or curry plant. It is a 40 to 60 cm high bush found around the Mediterranean. It produces flowers between may and august.
Despite being a relatively common plant in Corsica, Sardinia and the littoral area of the Balkans, it is a rare species that’s protected in some countries.
While its smell is close to curry, it isn't used as spice but can be turned into essential oil, having various medicinal properties.

WIP Wednesday
thanks @sharing-a-room-with-an-open-fire and @nausikaaa for tagging me (at @nonbaznary)!
firstly i want to share my sproutober WIPs! its a SUPER COOL 21-day october challenge about plants and ive been having lots of fun!!
these are just the base draft of the characters, i'll probably make these for every three days and then kind of mass post all of them by the last week of october when i actually finish them. not sure yet! just having fun
and from a similar point, im having a "non conventional edible/food plants" seminar this weekend, and in brazilian portuguese their acronym is PANCs, which is kind of pronounced like "punks" (and this caused some misunderstadings surrounding the seminar lolol), and that gave me the idea to make a GARDENING IS PUNK collection with punk PANCs!
so im working on some designs! this is the first one, i'll be digitalizing it over the weekend after i doodle other planties <3
