A very simple tutorial for HD sprites using Procreate
aka. what I do using my iPad since I'm too lazy to boot up actual pixel art software.
Here’s what the original sprites look like.
Single celled organisms.
And there you have it! Brand new, crystal clear sprites without any mixels or weird Gaussian blurring!
There’s probably a more efficient way to do it if you have actual spriting software, but sometimes you just need an image that won’t look funny when automatically resized, and all for the cost of the app I use for non-pixel artwork.
Bonus: here’s what happens if you don’t set it to nearest neighbour…
The fog got him.
