"Hi, um can I sit here?"

The voice caused you to look up in surprise. The boy didn’t give you much chance to reply before he was talking again, brown eyes showing signs of laughter.

"Every where else is taken and you look a lot nicer company then the old lady reading the deaths second of the newspaper." the voice rambled on as he gestured to said old lady who must have sense someone looking as she shot them both a glare.

"Sure. Take a seat." you replied slowly taking in his appearance as he sat down.  Dark brown hair accompanied his eyes, though it was matted down from the rain outside and was starting to curl at the ends which you found thoroughly cute. His lips however really caught your eye, as they rose in a smile directed at you it was very distracting. "Hiding from the rain too?" 

He let out a small laugh as he got comfy. “It just came out of nowhere, without any warning. Like a pretty girl in a coffee shop.” 

You raised an eyebrow at him, a shy smile playing on your lips as his cheeks flushed. “It did mention it on the weather this morning…” you trail off. 

"I’m trying to flirt with you, okay? Pretend nothing was ever mentioned, to at least ease my dampened ego." he pouted at you and part of your head, the overly confident part of your head, shouted at you to lean forward and kiss them, just to see if they were as soft as they looked of course. 

"Oh sorry, didn’t quite realise that." you tease at this strange. 

"Calum." he says quickly, hand jutting forward and accidently knocking your half finished drink. "Shit! Sorry!" 

"It’s fine, don’t worry about it, Calum Shit Sorry." you grin as you take his hand and shake it slightly, marveling at how his whole hand seems to engulf your own. "Y/N"

"It’s actually Hood, but Shit Sorry works too. Y/N Hand Hoger." Calum grins a cheeky smile at you. It’s at that point your realised you’re still holding his hand and a blush creeps across your face as you rush to pull away, but he only holds it tighter.
