The second picture is showing how far along the buds are on my lilac bushes.
This third picture is from the rock garden out front. This flower is the only one that is this far along. Right now it is cold and damp and only 45 F degrees (8C) outside.

Walked around the forest with Cara & my anxiety lifted just like that. There were deer paths everywhere, it's so magical somehow to know they roam this close to our home.
Also, there were buds in some bushes and trees already, despite below freezing temperatures as low as -27°C. But the sun has been shining so it seems nature is longing for spring as much as a lot of us are!
