10 Things we did right in 2015
In a time where critics find more followers than the ones who praise and each of our failures garner more views than our success, here are 10 things, which we, you and I, Indians, did right in the last year…
1. Arvind Kejriwal returned back to office in a similar landslide victory. Some say it is a mockery of the election process, while some saw it as second chance at the IIT Alumnus. Either way, the youth had spoken.
2. Agni V, an indigenous strategic ballistic missile, which may be an ICBM too, was test fired successfully, from road and rail suitable vehicles.
3. Saina Nehwal became the first Indian woman shuttler to attain the coveted numero uno position rank.
4. Mass evacuation from Yemen, of not only 4640 Indians, but 960 other nationals of 41 different countries. Job done right!
5. India’s first space observatory, Astrosat launched on PSLV-XL. ISRO making leaps and bounds into the space frontier.
6. Beyond Visual Range indigenously built missile, Astra, test fired successfully from the SU-30 Mki. Faster, precise and deadly.
7. India and Iran improved diplomatic ties by joining hands to develop the Chabahar Port at Iran.
8. Sania Mirza reached rank 1 in women’s doubles.
9. Pankaj Advani won 2015 IBSF World Billiards Championship.
10. We chose to rise up from our daily roles, and each became a hero during the Chennai Floods.
These are just some of the many events where we had deserved a pat in the back. These were not miracles, these were conscious efforts at being better. Better than what we were yesterday.
Its not always about what one individual did that makes us proud, but what we, as a group achieved also counts.
Speak up, be a force, have a voice ( http://www.youthkiawaaz.com/).
Take moment, feel proud, and #spreadthevibe.
