ACHIEEEE!!! Pull up a chair, for while I ain’t a wise woman or a LuNami know-it-all by any means, neither fact is a deterrent to coming up with a lot of hcs!

Since we were on the topic of knocked up hcs, I’ll continue in that vein for a minute.

1. So yeah, reiterating the idea of him gagging with her when morning sickness hits. Luffy is not a squeamish man, but come on, he’s just standing there, peacefully brushing his teeth, and she starts wretching the second her toothbrush makes it past her lips?? She’s not amused (but I am lmao)

2. Speaking of morning sickness, I have it in my head that’s her first symptom of pregnancy, and it snipes her ass early—that’s when she figures out she needs to test the first time (sorry, they are not a one and done couple, they will have a litter of brats lol). He just rolls toward her one morning with kisses, and the smell of him sets her off. Mind you, he’d long since started showering every night because of her (another hc of mine), and he smells *good* these days. She’s ready to hurl all over him, so she 's just shoving him away “oh god, you smell—!” and he’s squawking about how he showers all the time, he doesn’t stink anymore?! And then she dashes off and throws up.

3. Luffy’s no mama hen over her pregnancy (she’d get irritated with him if he was anyway), but he can be a thoughtful guy, you know? When she crosses his mind, he’ll check in with her in some way. When he’s hungry or thirsty, he’ll grab something for her too, and go find her. And if she asks him for something once, he'll remember it, and continually offer it, like this one time, she asked for a foot rub. Now, she routinely gets leg and foot rubs.

4. Nami doesn’t enjoy pregnancy. She’s super excited, but she’s also pukey, she has pregnancy brain, and she’s *tired*. One time, she dozed off and started snoring in the middle of Straw Hats gathering, and it was maybe something kinda important, but damn, she was exhausted, it was boring, and Luffy’s shoulder was amazingly comfortable in that moment. Luffy just snorted and let her be, but he teased her relentlessly about it later.

Not pregnancy hcs are fun too!

1. Luffy started showering everyday all on his own so she wouldn’t avoid him 4 out 7 days between showers. Also, he regularly forgets to restock the soap and shampoo once he runs out, so he always just used Nami's because he likes the way she smells. At first, she was ready to shove him overboard (it raised a few brows from the rest of the crew, their captain smelling like their navigator lol), but he's impossible, so she just got to where she'd sigh and grab the shit for him for next time.

2. I feel like Luffy's love languages are action oriented, like physical touch and acts of service. Nami's, I kind of feel like are physical touch and quality time.

3. Luffy fell first, Nami fell harder. Not because she loves him more or anything like that, he's every bit as nuts about her as she is about him. It's just that I feel like she literally had a harder time accepting the fall. Luffy, he put a name to something he'd been feeling all along one day, and it was just like 'okay! I love Nami! Cool.' And that was that! Nami? OH-HOHOHO-NO. NOOOO. She fought it a bit, and when she finally admitted to herself that yup, she's in love with him, she got real fussed about it for a while. She needed to process that, and untangle a few knotted emotions, it was not so simple for her.

4. They give each other nicknames! This is entirely self indulgent on my part, because I love giving nicknames. Luffy likes to call her shit like 'minha laranjinha', or 'my little orange' in Portuguese (not letting the Brazilian thing go for a second), and maybe a couple of other common endearments. Nami called him Captain Stringbean early on, and it stuck.

5. Speaking of nicknames...all it took was calling Luffy 'captain' in the sack a couple of times, and now she can't just casually call him that at any point ever without consequence lmao She found this out the hard way in public one time during a serious moment, and with the way he'd whipped his head at her and pinned her with a look, you'd have thought she'd said something so unwholesomely filthy. Boy got her good for that one as soon as he could reasonably excuse themselves (with a completely lack of subtlety, of course).

No, I'd never do it. It's not controlled you don't know who's on the other line. I actually added a bit about it in Violence and Gentleness when Psaltarian somehow exorcises a demon

pumpkin - do you like to stay in or go out on the night of october 31st? For the last few years I've stayed in, but I do love a good Halloween Bash. Maybe next year we'll throw one and have the best of both worlds.

candle - have you/will you decorate for the season? Growing up we always decorated for every holiday, and in college one of my roommates (who I lived with all 4 years) lived for Halloween and would turn our whole apartment into a haunted house complete with "blood stained" drop cloths on the furniture and faux wallpaper to make the walls look like they were oozing and huge spiderwebs spanning the ceiling. This year I carved a pumpkin but that was pretty much it.

samhain - how do you celebrate? Pumpkins, scary movies, sweet treats, costumes if I'm going to a party.

witch - what was your favorite costume from past years? I was Medusa one year and I frickin loved my costume. I had a green tunic dress that I added a snake embellishment to, wove snakes into my hair, did scale-looking eye makeup and wrapped another snake around my arm for good measure.

cat - are you superstitious? Not really? Unless it's related to my sports teams during the post season. Then suddenly everything becomes "the lucky shirt" "the lucky spot" "the lucky snack" etc.

leaves - do you like to visit cemeteries? I do!! We used to live right behind a verrrrrrry old cemetery and I used to walk my dog through it every darn day. It was really pretty in there and we used to see foxes all the time. A few years ago I went on a trip to Savannah, Georgia and we spent an afternoon strolling through Bonaventure Cemetery which was just gorgeous. Some of my favorite pictures from that trip were taken there.

skeleton - tea, cocoa, or coffee? All of the above, though personally I view hot cocoa as a strictly winter beverage while the other two are year round.

vampire - do you like horror movies? if so, what’s your favorite? I do enjoy horror movies! My favorites tend to change as I see new ones, so I think Barbarian and Us are my top two at the moment. I'm also a big fan of horror shows/limited series. I'm an AHS fan (baring one or two seasons that I skip) I loved The Fall of The House of Usher on Netflix, Grostequerie (barring Travis Kelcee's involvement which was so unnecessary I could barf) was suuuuper gross and unsettling and I loved that about it, and Amazon Prime has a show called Them which was fucking terrifying and incredible (but also deeply unsettling and upsetting).

autumn - what’s your favorite part of the spooky season? All of it?

cozy - besides halloween, what’s your favorite holiday? Hmmmm... I guess Christmas/Yule. I like the lights and decorations and I enjoy baking for that time of year.

ghost - do you have any paranormal experiences? No and I'm salty about it.

full moon - are you dressing up this year? if so, what will you be? I'm not but I do have a running list of costume ideas for the next time I do.

nighttime - favorite halloween movie? Hocus Pocus!! Always and forever!!

boo - what’s your favorite candy/treat? Snickers and almond joy. When I was a kid I'd go trick-or-treating with my best friend who lived around the corner and she liked all the fruity/non chocolate candy which I was not a fan of so we'd always trade at the end of the night.
