Wood Engraving Wednesday
Felix Hoffmann
For Spooky Month, we bring you these creepy wood engravings by Swiss graphic and stained glass artist Felix Hoffmann (1911-1975) for the 1965 Limited Editions Club production of Bram Stoker's (1847-1912) masterpiece Dracula, printed with 33 wood engravings, with eight in three colors, at the Press of A. Colish in a limited edition of 1500 copies.
And, oh, my God, my God, pity me! He placed his reeking lips upon my throat! . . . How long this horrible thing lasted I know not; but it seemed that a long time must have passed before he took his foul, awful, sneering mouth away. I saw it drip with the fresh blood!

zygarde really said ‘i make my own type chart’
The most surreal moment I had playing Senua's Sacrifice was when I was stomping around in the water during the swamp trial and suddenly realized how much it reminded me of the Soviet film classic Stalker. I suddenly felt like I was transported to the film. Really weird feeling. But the plot is kinda similar: the protag marches through endless landscapes of broken buildings overtaken by nature and the remnants of past wars, in a place that is volatile and hostile in ways that can't be rationally explained, trying to find and gain entrance to a special place where their biggest wish will be fulfilled, or so they hope.
