Romantic Spencer Reid
Hereās a weird collection of headcanons/concepts of what I think Spencer would be like as a boyfriend. These are just some spontaneous ideas, so theyāre not super organized ^^āĀ

-no matter how old Spencer is, the first date (if he asks you out) would always be in a cute antique-feeling cafe. If getting coffee goes well, he might even ask if you would go to the park to play chess or the library with him
-if you ask Spencer out, he would enjoy basically anywhere you take him, minus places like amusement parks or locations that are overall very dirty looking (he would mention the statistics of getting sick but heād go along with you anyway)
-Spencer isnāt a fan of PDA, but I think that times when heās PISSED off or easy to piss off heād be a lot more aggressive in any advances he makes.
-In the early seasons, I think he would go to Elle for dating advice, she has good advice. After she leaves I think he would ask JJ for help
-when you guys go out on dates, itās usually super romantic. Like itās almost like you guys are the embodiment of a historic romance novelĀ
-I donāt think Spencer would be too picky about who his romantic partner would be, I do think he would be drawn to people more like him, or people he would find interesting (but also he would also fall head over heels for someone who actually *listened* to his rambles)Ā
-I think due to the nature of his job, I doubt Spencer would date someone who had a significant age gap from him. Just so he doesnāt feel like heās taking advantage of his s/o
-Spencer Reid is bisexual but also thinks gender conformity is stupid so he would date anyone on the gender spectrum.Ā
-Spencer uses words likeĀ āmy partnerā andĀ āmy significant otherā more thanĀ āgirlfriend/boyfriendāĀ
-During Rossiās elaborate parties, I think thatās when he would introduce you to his team, unless you were already a part of the team or related to a team member
-For Valentineās Day, Spencer makes sure that his gifts to you are well thought out and SUPER romantic. He remembers your favorite candies, flowers, etc. If youāre not a big fan of v-day, he would just give you a sweet letter or a single flower (because he canāt help it)
-He would do anything in his power to keep you safe, and sometimes it can be quite questionable depending on the situation
-If he was dating you while being abused by Tobias Hankle, he would either be super dependent on you or super distant. Iām not too sure
-In bed, he would be super sweet and romantic. He would be a switch but he would be a soft dom/sub
-he would keep your sex/private life private, he doesnāt want to share intimate moments to others
-Spencer Reid is a hopeless romantic but would NEVER admit it
-He will write you long, sweet, romantic letters at every anniversary, even if you got married
-Spencer would want to get married, but I think heād be very worried that he wouldnāt be a good husband or fatherĀ
-He would provide good emotional support, but would have a hard time telling you when he needs help
-he will let you cut his hair at anytime, and will allow you to play with his hair in any way youād like to
-when the relationship gets serious, he would talk to you about his job. I think he would cut down hours or become a professor (depending on when youāre dating him in his life)
