so! the background you’ll need is that i wore this shirt that i made to spnokc (if you saw my face there, no you didn’t)

and all of the lovely lovely people there got a kick out of it. as i hoped! so, there i am, wearing this shirt, walking around the vendors hall, and i make my way over to the public domain table.

matt is there, of course, promoting his project. this makes sense. he was all up in my business, but it was crowded, so that also makes sense.

before he gets into his spiel about public domain and exes, he looks at my shirt and goes, “is that jensen?”

i laugh and say yes, and he asks me, “why is jensen gay?”

it is at this moment that i realize that matt cohen does not know about the destiel confession meme. i could have explained it. that was an option i had. unfortunately for all of us, i am not great with strangers, so i just said it was a joke from tumblr.

i thought we were going to move on. i was wrong.

matt cohen, with a death grip on the bit, says, “well. jensen *is* pretty gay.”

my flabbers are a little ghasted. i’m taken aback. because what the fresh hell am i supposed to say to that?

without missing a beat, he follows up, “only for me, though. don’t tell anyone.”
