People know Chuck and Amara can still be twins while Amara is older right. My dad is a twin but he's also the oldest of my grandma's kids because he was born before his twin. Chuck and Amara being twins doesn't mean one can't be older than the other and it makes sense for darkness to be first because the universe started with darkness. This is even mentioned in Genesis (although it doesn't apply the same because in Supernatural, Chuck is the embodiment of light and Amara is the embodiment of dark). Additionally, the Big Bang was an act of destruction that resulted in creation, going by Stephen Hawking's theory about it — a single atom split (was destroyed) to bring the universe into existence (create it).

So in Supernatural when the Darkness is unleashed it's mentioned that some of the residents of hell believed that there was screams and noise coming from the cage, which they presumed to be Michael or Lucifer trying to warn them- but what I think really happened went more like this.

9x23 Crowley claims that Dean's feeling awful and yaking his guts out because the moc wants Dean to kill, but the reactions only got really bad after his little brother stopped him from doing what was in his nature (stopping something that has hurt people, especially those he loves) and said little brother with the help of an angel locked him away so he couldn't 'do any more damage.' Considering demon Dean seems to only kill when pushed into it and is otherwise fine to be by himself (Crowley claims it's cuz demons are stronger but it's still Dean's same body so no I don't think so), and post demon moc Dean is primarily reactionary, I think it has more to do with being confined, controlled, and made vulnerable/weak than it has to do with killing
