I’m rewatching the Fosters right now to refresh my memory before I watch the sequel Good Trouble. I’m on S1 E3 “Hostile Acts”… and I have big feelings.

Mike got Brandon a piano. 🥺

He was so excited to have Brandon move in. He heard what Brandon said about not being there for him and doing the bare minimum as a dad and not taking enough interest in his life… so he asked him to move in… and he rented a piano.

It’s so sweet. It was more than he needed to do because Brandon already had his keyboard. But it’s exactly what he needed to do to show that he truly cared for Brandon and his interests. It would have been such a beautiful surprise the next night when he officially moved in…

But instead, he saw it right after telling Mike that he couldn’t do it.

Uggggh it hurts. It’s such a good scene because it stabs you right in the heart and just twists. Phenomenal writing, perfect directing, amazing acting… Ugh, when Brandon hugs Mike and just sobs out, “I’m sorry!” 😭 Just the absolute best.
