"Everyone in the Splatoon community is LGBT+ in some way"
And let me tell you the queer power that Splatoon holds is so powerful that I, a nonbinary with genderfluid tendencies, once started questioning my identity so hard for an entire day thinking I was actually ftm transgender purely because my (trans) octoling boy looked SO good I was filled with absolute gender envy.
So if I, somebody already absolutely queer, was questioning my gender due to THE POWER OF SPLATOON I am convinced there ain't a single Splatoon player out there who hasn't questioned their gender/sexuality at least once and it's all because of funny cephalopods.
i think the way people in this fandom respond to people who don’t enjoy squid parties has begun to sound more and more strange and foreign to me. even on this blog, people will respond to confessions about not liking squid parties with “you have no joy and whimsy in your heart, you’re poisoned by the comp scene, tryhard etc” …i don’t like squid parties *because* i want to have fun, tho. dgmw, i don’t go out of my way to crash them when they happen in my matches, and i’ll join a new lobby the next game. but, like, i play this game *to have fun* and to have fun i want to *play the game*. so yeah, no i’m not a very big fan of people who want to throw the match and encourage me to do the same. i’m not a dick about it but i still don’t like it. i have been around since day 1 of game 1 and i *adore* it. i have for every second. i love it so much i have a tattoo planned for it. i think these games are incredible for the way they’ve redefined the genre, and especially for the way they’ve created a kid-friendly shooter that doesn’t infantilize the target audience or isn’t condescendingly e-rated. this franchise is so unique and creative and has introduced so many interesting mechanics into its core gameplay that there really truly is no experience like a splatoon match in any other game on the market. this game *is* joyous and whimsical in its heart and i want to *experience that*. i don’t want to stand around and mash a button with a lobby for 3 minutes straight; i want to use a bathtub to throw bubbles at someone wielding a giant mechanical pencil.
i need a support group for people who are too poor to get a switch 2 and are gonna miss out on raiders
Nintendo really doesn't give enough respect to Agent 4 and Neo 3. Like omg I want to see my underrated agents again.

holiday splatfest ink ranked from least to most edible. yes i am serious. 5: grand fest. probably tastes like oil ewww 4: splatoween. its giving fake artificial dye 3: frostyfest. i bet it tingles on the tongue like bottle caps candy 2: summer nights. SODA!!!!!!!!! 1: springfest: that's frosting. that is literally cake frosting with sprinkles.
I may just be obsessed with callie but i fear a lot of people dumb her character down a lot :((
I really wish America got the same amount of love that Japan got with the splatoon merch and events :(
