like dont get me wrong!!! remilllia is so intresting with her neruoses, with how she does great acts of kindness in the name of the one she loves bc thats what emi would do but has to wrestle with her own darker desires!!!! like her thoughts doesnt negate the good she does but

the fact that no one sees pastss remillas mask is!!! it makes me feel things!!!

but one thought that kept on popping up when i was reading was that pina was basically remillia without emi (look no one who grows up in a fulfilling and loving environment fixates on gaining as much love as she can from as many people as she can through any means necesary, and feels threatened at the prospect of not being loved, clings to the structre of how the world is 'supposed' to be that essentially secures their place at the top, or feels the need to appear greater and grander every time)(except she's too dumb to succede) and she even gets no redemption in the end like the remillia of the original story!!! like we get no info about her past or who she was aside from the fact that also played the game and has serious projection issues (accusing emi of trying to get a reverse harem and calling it disgusting while also doing the same!!! like she's a massive hypocrite and it's so fascinating,,,,, on some level she recognizes her actions as shameful, but she either has some massive cognitive dissonance going on or is so deep in denial she's hallucinating(which she did lol))

overall it was an enjoyable read 👍

THE rip bozo girl failure to me, I can not believe she got as far as she did and think its very telling she had to default to fucking mind control cheat items because she was too clumsy and impatient to try and cultivate genuine relationships with seemingly anyone around her

(By the way !! Side note !! In the light novel chapters we actually see some of the original Pina reacting to things and she is THE Pina hater. I just need u to know that)

Fuck tho, Pina essentially being a parallel of what Remilia could have been / was supposed to be,, The thought hadn't even occurred to me tbh but now that you've put it out there, it makes so much sense? I'm obsessed with the layers of that, oh my god.

GIRL DOES SEEM TO BE STRAIGHT UP LIVING IN HER OWN FANTASY LAND SOMETIMES TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if she were dealing with some delusions over there. If nothing else she clearly has "delusions of grandeur" on the list to check off.

I looveee her scene with Emi where she basically self reports by getting on her about the reverse harem, she's so hypocritical and see through <33 Her face is paper thin and seemingly as shallow as a puddle, but who knows what's fueling that,, She really does read as someone terribly lonely and desperate in the worst ways, which is so fascinating <33

I love how u put it tbh, I don't think I can put it any better. She's so interesting !! We know so little about her !! There's clearly something wrong with her, but we can only guess as to whatever's fueling it besides a clear near desperation for love and attention that consistently numbs and blinds her to everything else. She should get that checked out tbh

Man. Now I just wanna see a fic where we pull Pina out of her little pocket of hell she ends up in the end of the manga for agood old fashioned hurt/comfort "and also lets put you under a microscope to see how you tick" redemption arc. Or something. Those are always a classic to me tbh

Remilia makes me so sick, I love her and her little masks no one ever sees past so much.

I love how we also have no idea whatsoever about how much of it is really a mask, and how much is just Remilia lying and rationalizing things to herself-- she clearly thinks of herself as a villain, as a wretched woman, all that stuff. And yeah, I mean, she's definitely a plotter and a schemer but we see her do incredibly kind things too-- and every single time, she justifies it with excuses on how she's not being herself, but Emi's Remilia

But who is Emi's Remilia? Is she not just Remilia herself, or is she really entirely fantasy? Does Remilia being over-conscious of her perceived kindness cancel out the kindness alltogether? Or does it just mean she refuses to acknowledge the kindness for what it is-- kindness. Instead calling it things like charity or insisting it's all a part of her grand plot

She literally gets with a guy who can see through all lies !!!!!! The lying little liar who lied, whos entire identity is built on lies, chooses the man who can see through lies to be her life partner !!!!!!! Does Angel not seeing through her mask not say something about the validity of said pretenses?

Of course, Remilia is a liar and an actor and she does wear a mask all the time-- I just love so much thinking about how much of that mask is really an act, and how much is just this massive cognitive dissonance of a girl who has a hard time recognizing and rationalizing her own kindness

BUT YEAH I LOVE REMILIA SHES SO FASCINATING !!! Im so glad youre having fun thinking about her <33 and also Pina ofc, who is a case study I want to put in a tank to study
