Used as the Imperial Seal of Japan, chrysanthemum represents autumn and is a symbol of regal beauty, rejuvenation and longevity. There is nothing more classic than pompom mums, with hundreds of petals or tiny mums that look like daisies, which cluster together. And yet, my choice for today is a spider mum, rangiku. Less known, yet just as beautiful, spider mums have long and thin petals which seem to resemble spider legs. Their eerie beauty is something I can't resist. On the side note: it's been such fun! But the challenge made me realise how little time I really have for tsumami recently.
