As a first post, I felt it was fitting to post my favorite Spider-Marvel moment. This is from Siege: Spider-Man which is a one-shot published in 2011.
Spidey finds himself fighting a Venomized Mac. Carol (who back then still went by Ms Marvel) shows up and gives Spidey a hand. She does this really awesome and GENIUS thing to pull Mac out of the symbiote through its mouth lol.
...ANYWAYS, the panels here are my favorite moment between these two because it shows the respect and admiration that Carol has for Peter. Aside from the fact that they are just being kinda silly with each other.
Spider-Man is portraited to be a street-level hero and he knows his limitations. There is a line on their conversation where he questions his place in a fight that is taking place in Asgard, but Carol replies "I like you here in the clouds with us". He knows that means more than she lets believe which prompts him to tease her with a "you like me!"
I simply LOVE the characterization that someone as powerful as Ms Marvel can see in Spider-Man potential to be up in the sky fighting baddies that are usually seen to be out of his league...and it can be interpreted as she also being attracted to that aspect of his character traits. Carol Danvers believes in Peter Parker!
