Drawings made roughly last week-begining of this week
A lot of text
I've been roughly redesigning/reworking the entirety of spes because I'm not liking it and it has helped with how stuck I've been feeling (and also with coping with really NOT understanding topics at uni ha. haha. ha)
I may be wandering in the desert in self imposed exile, and I may fall into pits of quicksand, and I may dirty my baptismal robes, even with blood.
I must have hope
God will bring me back to Jerusalem someday. He consoles me even in the mire of my swamp of sin. He is there. On that video-call I join in lieu of Adoration. He will make all things news, destroy Babylon.
The Hope and Waiting of the 8 of Pentacles
In Latin, spes is the noun “hope”. It names a state of orientation toward a future good. From this noun also comes the verb sperare. The verb means “to have hope”, “to trust”, and “to wait for with expectation”. The ideas of hoping and waiting belong to the same linguistic and conceptual field. One word names the condition and the other names the action that proceeds from that condition. When someone sperat (waits), they remain aligned with what is anticipated. Time passes, but the orientation remains.
The motto Spes mea in Deo est, “my hope is in God”, expresses this structure with precision. Hope appears as something placed, anchored, and sustained. It describes a stable axis rather than a passing emotion. The phrase implies duration. Hope continues while the fulfilment has not yet manifested. The Latin language presents hope as a form of active endurance. To hope means to stand in relation to what is awaited and to persist in that relation.
The 8 of Pentacles in Tarot expresses this dynamic. In the decanological tradition, it corresponds to the Sun in Virgo. It’s technical prudence, bound to continuous labour and progressive refinement. The classical image shows an artisan patiently engraving coins or discs, focused on detail and on the repetition of the gesture.

19:33, before the Lord's Day
Lord, have mercy on us. Christ, have mercy on us.
Lord, have mercy on us.
Christ, hear us. Christ graciously hear us.
God, our Father in Heaven, have mercy on us.
Christ, Redeemer of the world, have mercy on us.
Holy Ghost, hovering over the waters, have mercy on us.
For the mighty works of creation, Jesus I thank you.
For the moon, the little light of the night, Jesus I thank you.
For the sun, the large light of the day, Jesus I thank you.
For the stars and galaxies lighting up creation, Jesus I thank you.
For the sunset and its rest in weeping, Jesus I thank you.
For the sunrise and its wake in rejoicing, Jesus I thank you.
For the Earth, our lonely island home, Jesus I thank you.
For the delights of creation, Jesus I thank you.
For the sweetness of boba tea, Jesus I thank you.
For your most glorious revelation in creation, Jesus I thank you.
For your most windrous birth in David's city, Jesus I thank you.
For your most holy circumcision, Jesus I thank you.
For your flight in to Egypt, Jesus I thank you.
For your loss in the Temple at Jerusalem, Jesus I thank you.
For the love which you showed in your preaching, Jesus I thank you.
For the care shown in your healing, Jesus I thank you.
For the love you show in your bloody crucifixion, Jesus I thank you.
For the blood and water flowing from your side,Jesus I thank you.
For the suffering of the Crown of Thorns, Jesus I thank you.
For the scourging you endured for us, Jesus I thank you.
For the blood of the Lamb, Jesus I thank you.
For your Resurrection and Ascension, Jesus I thank you.
For the revelation of Holy Scripture, Jesus I thank you.
For our flawed and human bodies, Jesus I thank you.
For our fickle minds made faithful, Jesus I thank you.
For the union of body and soul, Jesus I thank you.
For the union of the divine into humanity, Jesus I thank you.
For the redemption of creation, Jesus I thank you..
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world,, spare us, O Lord,
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, grciously hear us O Lord.
Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world, hear us and grant us peace, O Lord.

and uhm some oc thingies
I've been a lil bit art blocked and lightly frustrated with art but we ballingggggggggggggg
i am a sinner so great
that darkness creeps on me
until i realise it's too late
and i fall into the valley
and shadow of death but the lamb
and the shepherd runs after my soul,
setting me free with his agnoising cramps
to mourn his loss, to let darkness creep
again; but all in a light garment of glory
Well hello! Up we have Audri and down we have Ignis
