A pack of tropical speed stingers lives on a tiny island that's just big enough for them. They have a cave system underneath (probably from whispering deaths) that they nest in and deliver food to. One of these speed stingers, we'll call her...Mango, she had an egg that never hatched. Grieving mother gets taken out on mission to go find some food so she and a few others take off across the ocean to search for an Island to snatch food from. They find one, mostly uninhabited and seeming like something terrible happened there (think scorched trees and charred earth kinda thing) and the speed stingers split up to find food. Mango ends up on her own and comes across an egg, a little round black egg. She investigates it and realizes it's alive, so she grabs it. Her alpha tries to take it from her and she refuses, keeping the egg to herself, and once they get home she takes it to her nest instead of to the prey pile. Eventually it hatches into a cute little night fury baby who we'll calllll Echo. Mango raises Echo like he's a speed stinger and he becomes an important part of their pack.
