Peter shook his head. He could tell something was wrong, of course, but he wanted to HELP. That was what he always did, anyway, even if she didn’t know that. He wasn’t doing fine; he was never doing fine. But if he could help people feeling better, then he would, without hesitation.

Seeing Cindy here is a surprise. Felicia never asks for help. She was BETRAYED too many times; she refuses to take this risk anymore. But there’s something so... is it kindness ? A part of her, even if it’s maybe a small, silent one, wants to believe this. Kind people are nice. Usually, when they’re kind, it’s just because they want something in return.

Peter shrugs at the question. Nothing feels right about him, but he decides to keep that thought to himself. It would just make her pity him, or at least feel sad about him, and he doesn’t want that. He just wants to see a smile on her lips because that’s what she deserves. He’s bad at this, though, or he thinks he’s bad at this. His LONELINESS is consuming him, as much as he doesn’t want to admit it.
