Rise and shine, my loves! . . photo dump ::: a prelude . . I mentioned the @papoets - Pan Afrikan Poets Cafe a few times in my previous posts. So I thought I’d post some flyers … memorabilia from years gone by. Mostly because I’m struck by how much “love” has always been a guiding ethic for my praxis. Then again, I’m a Libra Moon with a Leo Rising and a Gemini Sun … so astrologically, this love theme and how I explore it kinda all makes sense. So now you know that these Love Letters and Love Notes are an extension of what I’ve always done since law school. . . What does it mean to love and be loved, beyond the romantic and in personal relationships as much as in public or political relationships? . . What happens when we reinterpret or rebuild Pan Afrikan values through a Womanist lens that centres love? Now you get why I chose #speaklove and #belove for the byline for the Pan Afrikan Poets Cafe Project? . .
