Gets an email for a comment on the fic you just posted on AO3 :

PSA: I received 2 spam comments on AO3 in the past week, both on the same fic, both guest accounts. One of them was complete hate and in portuguese (that I will not be sharing), but the second was someone in Canada (specifically) begging me to send a hard copy of my fic to them for money and putting a full address in the comment. Apparently this form of spam is common and it is listed in AO3's spam warnings, but here is an example for anyone that needs it.
Stop spamming me, stupid scammers!
"Ahm sorry for the random message. but i need to explain somethin important i been trying to reach you but i cant maybe theres have a problem can you dm me I cant explain everythng here" or similar comments are by scammers! I block them all but its so annoying|

1. No, you’re not sorry as I have gotten at least five comments starting the exact same way.
2. You’re taking me for a fucking idiot because I know that’s a spam bot.
3. I will not DM you because I am not a fucking idiot. Leave me alone, you damn bots! (Which sadly I know me saying this isn’t going to do anything about it.)
God, most comments are a joke. Guess I’ll have to report and block like I usually do. I don’t want to have to disable comments as I want real interactions, but it’s times like this where I am really tempted to disable them again.

I keep getting these weird spam comments on my fics LEAVE ME ALONE ! I’ve had to block 3 different accounts GO AWAY !
Getting a religious spam comment is new…but it’s spam nonetheless.
What’s next? These bots gonna comment about my car’s warranty? Got any recipes to share? Did I win a latest generation iPhone or iPad? Any hot new singles in my area? PLEASE…don’t make me laugh.
This is ridiculous. Bots need to be dealt with like…now? This has been overdue for years everywhere.
