nooo free is not about swimming lol its moe garbage about how friendship is magic. i love free but don’t expect like…serious treatment of swimming as a sport…

no i fully understand that lol i just cannot suspend disbelief on it. like it’s about friendship but every time they talk about swimming or swim at all i die a little and their main point of connection for friendship is based around swimming u see my problem..

i thought it’s supposed to be the hasetsu rink! my theory is that beginning scene is actually the epilogue…victor skating stay close to me for yuri back home in japan…

i've been thinking that too, but there are clear shots from that PV that makes it look like it’s almost definitely not hasetsu. as the op says--well, why not both?

i want it to be in barcelona bc i feel like it’ll be easier to transition to an ending scene there instead of getting them all the way back to japan and with as little time as there is, i’d like this..

yeah i’m genuinely grateful that’s not a thing, bc the dedicated “who’s top and who’s bottom!!” in fan spaces feels so...... voyeuristic and unrealistic and is really not how it works

Aw I love Chris and jj but that’s because I appreciate them as parts of the story doing the things they’re meant to do! No need to defend them but no need to violently hate them either? They’re just…supposed to be there.. or maybe I’m just obsessed and I love everyone on this damn show

no, absolutely! i think it’s perfectly normal to like the characters for who they are haha but it’s also normal to find them ridiculous because they are ridiculous. they were created for a purpose. so a lot of the fandom jokes about how they need to Go Down are founded on the very basis of how these characters were designed for us to respond. it just so happens that these character traits can also be lovable. both reactions to them are fine, viciously hating them or thinking they need in-depth MLA formatted and cited defense is also over the top lol
