Here’s my entry for @moringmark‘s art-game, SpaceEggs! ^^

And here is my entry for the Eggcelent space egg challenge. Now to explain. This is the Eggtreme Protector The EP1000 it has many forms such as 

Slime Form 

The top left corner is how the egg is normally protected on Earth or an Earth-like planet. It is a jello-like slime that encases the in its center. No matter how hard it shakes the egg stays in place. It can also have the same evaporation and freezing temperature as water. The density of this slime makes it so that almost nothing can piece it, and if it is by say a bullet, it will stop shortly before the center is hit as well as spit out as the hole heals. 

However, that can change, more on that later. The egg is also placed inside a capsule that is the heart of the slime. It produces nanites that can produce more slime and has sensors that help the slime to adapt. Such as making it sticky so it doesn’t fall, or elastic so it bounces with no harm. If it starts to evaporate or lose slime, it can take the water on the ground or in the air, mixing the right elements to create more slime, only needing heat from within to start the chemical reaction. But this device can include more features if you purchase a better version of this device. If you buy the EP2000, when it needs to, the vessel contains robotic eyes that are released when the slime senses it needs to transform into…

Chicken form

With a remote that can come in the form of a necklace, bracelet, watch, or other decorative disguises, it can control the slime and make it so that it turns into a chicken form, seen in the right. The same slime substance has all of its properties as before but is now mobile. It runs, swims, and can climb reaching speeds of 10 mph, although slow, the heart also serves as the brain, giving it basic human problem-solving skills allowing it to find ways to find its owner if lost or find better means of transportation to go to a designated location. As well a prioritizing it’s own safety and the safety of the egg. But you can go and buy the EP7474 if you need something that can protect the egg and fight back with great power. Not recommended unless you really want to protect that egg. 

Basilisk form 

Seen in the center. This form is for when the EP believes it is in vital danger and needs to protect itself from harm Generally it only something or someone very dangerous would want to get the egg inside so badly that it triggers this form. The basilisk form is the most dangerous form this slime can take. starting small the size of a general serpent, it slithers in high speed to get away from the area or person on land or sea. If it spots that it cannot get away, from the area or pursuer, it grows in size releasing all the eyes and material it has stored to make itself bigger, generally the size of a large python. When this happens its slime becomes poisonous. The fangs have poison that causes instant death, as well as being corrosive. The body poison causes paralyze and has eyes inside its slime to be able to see and attack could be made by anyone. Only the center carrying the egg inside is not poisonous. It also spits poison to melts weapons and armor, or kill instantly. It also continues to grow, making itself larger and more dangerous by the minutes. 

Has no known the upper limit, being as large as fifteen meters after an hour. If worst comes to worst and is somehow in danger of being fully destroyed and egg taken, it spits out frantically, spitting globs of slime with eyes at the surrounding area. Meant to distract and not kill. Once exactly it spits 8 times, the Basilisk form explodes causing a shower of poisonous slime. Giving the slime that was spat out time to form into snakes and slither in 8 different directions. One randomly with the heart. The eyes act as new hearts for the slime, giving it the program to hide, heal and grow. When every slime finally heals, the other slimes are given a command to go to the heart as well as the command of growing. When a single slime snake finds the heart, it reunites with it with the head still out. When all the heads combine, it becomes an 8 headed snake, as large as the amount of slime was created, and poisonous as well. As far as it currently knows this is all theoretical since although the program to do this, no one has made it go to this stage. 

And the last stage, when there is no material, water, is too cold, is too hot, great pressure, last resort, or the vacuum of space all EPs can go and turn into its...

Crystal form

It cannot be melted, can not be shattered. Can not pierce cannot be corroded. Can withstand any and all pressure and if you do somehow manage to crack it, it will heal as fast as the blink of an eye. Slime that touches it will only be added to the mass. It can only return to its slime form if it is ordered to return back to normal or if the owner touched the crystal. All these forms will only soften and yield to give the capsule to the owner. The owner can either touch the slime or use the remote to return it to normal There is also a secret way for all the slime to return to its normal form but that’s a secret. 

[Creator thoughts: yeah this is super complex but I love it. I first thought of the slime form but then thought space has everything from dust to Planets. So I created something that could withstand anything and can move from place to place. As well as fight back if need be. Although after all is said and done I may have created something that can be considered a planet buster. All to protect an egg. Kinda wanted to erase the Basilisk form but I was too far into the design.]
