Construction on Dominion Orbital’s new is expecting delays due to supply chain issues with Cobalt.  Normal suppliers no longer have inventory of Cobalt Ingots used to manufacture Thruster Components that are needed in construction.

It is unknown when availability in the region will change.  There have been discussions of potentially launching the Tom Sawyer on schedule with construction complete except for a couple Horizontal Ion Thrusters.

Plutonium-Cobalt Zoning Inc. (PCZ), the standard supplier powerhouse, is reporting normal stock of Cobalt but is unable to get supplies past the Asteroid Belt due to the current overwhelming threat of piracy from SPRT Space Pirates.  Representatives from FTSC First Colony have issues warnings to the region and advised against travel from from the outer planets.

Consortium Chosokabe-Zöllner GmbH (CCZ), newer supplier in the marker was from the merger of Chosokabe Refining, Zöllner Transportation GmbH, Yamato Mining & Refining GK, and Deutsche Post DHL.  has reported dwindling reserves of cobalt and is rumored to start focusing on refined materials like Super Conductors and Solar Panels over supplying raw materials through the system

It is unknown if availability of Cobalt will change in the system any time soon. Shipyards are scrambling to find sources of Cobalt Ingots and Ship Designers are starting to consider Hydrogen powered solutions as standard design guidelines.
