"Mustard fleet 12, docking now."
"Negative, Mustard Fleet 12. Do not dock. Sauroman 4 over."
"Sauroman 4, we're out of fuel. We need to dock. Over."
"We're under strict orders to not allow anyone to enter or leave the Sauroman."
"What? Why?"
"Classified information Mustard Fleet 12. Gravity sling to the nearest Terrestrial and refuel there. Quickly at that. We are going into self-destruct mode in 7 hours."

I've decided to post some of my threads of writing so that they are not lost to the abyss. The linked story is Sora Mitsu, a sci fi story set in the Milky Way following the JSSDF crew the Azusa Yumi. Warning: it will deal with some adult content relevant to the horrors of space travel.
I will try to post updates to it regularly.
Do You See? Because I Absolutely Do.
As someone who considers Event Horizon one of my all-time favorite horror movies, I went into Event Horizon: Dark Descent with equal parts excitement and terror. There are few things more dangerous than revisiting a cult classic that has spent decades living rent-free in your head. Thankfully, this comic understands exactly what made the original film so special: the horror was never just about blood or demons; it was about the unimaginable consequences of looking somewhere humanity was never meant to look. Christian Ward and Tristan Jones take us aboard the Event Horizon before the events of the film, following Captain Kilpack and his crew as they become the first people to discover what lies on the other side of the gravity drive. And honestly? This is the closest I've ever come to feeling like I'm watching those infamous lost scenes that fans have been talking about for decades.
What I loved most is that Dark Descent doesn't try to explain away the mystery of Event Horizon: it embraces it. The comic leans hard into cosmic horror, religious terror, body horror, and the terrifying possibility that Hell isn't a metaphor but a destination with rules of its own. Tristan Jones' artwork captures the industrial nightmare aesthetic of the film perfectly, while Ward expands the mythology in ways that feel both horrifying and inevitable. There are moments of genuine dread here, the kind that remind me why Event Horizon has remained one of the greatest "haunted house in space" stories ever made. If you've spent years wondering what happened to Captain Kilpack and the original crew after they crossed into the dark between stars, this is exactly the kind of answer you hoped for: brutal, surreal, tragic, and completely, gloriously cursed. And yes, I absolutely heard "Liberate Tutemet Ex Inferis" echoing in my head the entire time.

Sky's the Limit #1
hello? I hope someone can hear me? My name is Sky Brenderson, and I’m stuck here, I’ve been trying to communicate with the world, but with no luck, it seems the communication devices on my ship have failed, or maybe there’s just no one left to contact? I’ve been up here for a few months now, Brynden, my last remaining companion, died a few weeks back, and since then I’ve been waiting for the moment when I finally get sick myself, but now, I think it’s becoming undeniable that somehow I’m immune, if only we’d known earlier, who knows what could have gone different. But now, I’m here, all alone, floating through space, enough water to last me a few more days I guess, and no hope of being rescued… I’ve been thinking about killing myself, there are a few ways to kill ourselves painlessly, precautions of the lab, I guess Brynden and the others were grateful, perhaps I should be grateful to and use them, it’s definitely better then painfully dying of thirst I guess. Thinking about Brynden makes me smile, I miss him, he was the only reason the last few months were bearable. It’s quite ironic, throughout so much of my life, I’ve struggled with some form of suicidal thoughts, but now that I’m here, I can’t get myself to do it. Anyway, the silence of the past few weeks was driving me crazy, and since I don’t want to spend all my time thinking about my shrinking supply of water, I’ve decided to make some recordings in which I will be telling stories about my life on earth, to pass the time, to reflect on my tumultuous life, and to finally finish this chapter, that should have been closed a long time ago. And who knows? Maybe someone will one day find these recordings, and have a good laugh about every second of my miserable path towards this gruesome death. I really hope someone can hear me.
