I love how well planned your writing is, it’s so thoughtful and in character, but on top of that there is always intricate plot, and I love it. I love how you write Luna (my favorite girl) and I love your writing of the core six. I always love reading your works!

Soy Sol is amazing. It’s my favorite of your fics, and I am always so impressed by it! You tied up all the lose ends of s3, and I loved the Lutteo plot line. Lutteo is a complicated pair but they have grown so much throughout their time together and your writing expresses that so well. I really enjoyed the Yam pursing her dreams plotline and loved seeing the Roller team together and tie lose ends. I love how you’re write Luna so much. I love how you wrote their dynamics (the dynamic of the cast are my favorite thing ever) and ahhhh!!!!

Whenever I write a piece, especially a long one my favorite thing to do is write the outline first. It helps me figure out how the story is going to be entirely and makes the writing process a little easier knowing what happens beginning, middle, and end.

Soy Luna is one of my favorite shows and it will forever have a special place in my heart. So when writing Soy Sol, I wanted it to feel like a story meant for the show, where each character has their own story and purpose. I wanted each one to be seen since I love them all.

It makes me really happy as well hearing that you love the way I wrote the dynamics. For me, that was kind of the trickiest part since I wanted there to be a story that flowed while also having the characters be themselves, with their developed and developing relationships.

Luna has a special place in my heart so I definitely wanted her to be herself while also growing and maturing. Thats why I gave it the title Soy Sol, it’s like a rebirth where she accepts every part of herself, her past and her present while being hopeful for the future. Understanding that relationships can be tough to tender but are always worth it for the ones you love in the end.

Ámbar feels like every step she takes, the more she can feel her heartbeat. It’s like she’s carrying it in her arms with nothing to guard it, out in the open alone. She opens the cold rusted handle of the entrance to the restaurant. There she is, her biological mom trembling while drinking a glass of water. Ámbar sums up all the courage inside her and takes the chance to approach her. When she grabs the seat in front of her, Sylvania can’t help but stare in shock. “Wow Ámbar, you truly have grown.” Ámbar may have brought all her walls down for the people she loves, but she puts them back up with this stranger.

“You can’t say that since you were never there for me. That’s no fair,” Ámbar chided. Sylvania chokes up and avoids eye contact. “Look Ámbar, I now know after everything that has happened the big mistake I made, but at the time it felt like the best option for you. I was young and didn’t have the means nor felt ready to take care of a child. I thought Sharon would’ve been a better parental figure instead of a young girl like myself. I later on regretted it and that’s something I shall have to carry with me for the rest of my life.”

Ámbar grips onto her purse trying very hard to hold back all her tears. She wonders why did this lady chose Sharon specifically and why did Sharon try to keep it a secret for so long? “I understand you were young, but I know that’s not the whole story because I have memories being in a different house that was NOT Benson Mansion. You saw me, you knew me, and didn’t like me enough to keep me,” Ámbar rebuked. Sylvania is showing tears now, she’s choking up with every word as her hand trembles just to take a sip of water. “It wasn’t like that at all Ámbar. I tried, I really did try to see if I was capable of taking care of a child. I noticed my arms weren’t so comforting for you. Sometimes when you love someone, so much, you have to let them go because you care,” Sylvania responded. Ámbar doesn’t know whether to believe what she’s saying or not. She wishes she can get out of these tornadoes of lies that always come chasing her. She’s sick of it all. She wants the truth. Is that too much to ask for?

Silence crowds the room, they’re breathing the same air but can’t even look at each other. Sylvania speaks up again. “I know this feels hard to believe but why do you think I came back? It was for that reason, I thought Sharon would be a better parent than me and would take great care of you. I realized I was sadly wrong.”

“Sharon? Of all people? What made you think that a woman who put a place on fire because she was jealous of her own sister would be a perfect parent for a child? Do you know she never showed me affection or love? I had to learn it all on my own. She only showed any signs of care when she needed me part of her plan that only benefitted her. You left me to a person who only cares about themselves,” Ámbar fumed.

“It wasn’t like that at all. I had no idea about her being the cause of the Benson fire and she had already adopted you before that even happened. When I met her, she was a kind woman, I was friends with Lili from work, so I had already knew the family. I assumed that Sharon had a good heart just like Lili, even though she was seemingly different. The whole time I would interact with her, she was always nice and seemed to really want a child because she always felt alone. It all just felt fitting.” Ámbar is trying to put together all the puzzle pieces in her head with Sylvania’s story. Part of her doesn’t believe it but…. It does kind of make sense. For her it justifies nothing even though she has hope.

Before she gets up from her seat, she leaves a wad of cash. “Ámbar where are you going? We haven’t even ordered yet?” Sylvania asks. “I’m not feeling hungry anymore, here’s some money for dinner.” Ámbar heads out the door with no remnants behind other than the tears that fall to the floor.

Jam and Roller

“Eyyy amigo I’m so happy for the release of your new music video!” Gastón exclaims to Matteo. They’re both drinking smoothies while watching the Youtube countdown from Matteo’s phone. These are the special moments Matteo loves to share with Gastón since he’s always been his pal for the longest. He also loves sharing it with Luna too, but they sadly haven’t hit it off as well for a while. Matteo is hoping Gastón’s plan will work for the upcoming days.

Simón heads to their tables with a fresh batch of popcorn. “Wow, how exciting! It’s even more special since you get to enjoy it here at the Jam and Roller with us!” Simón states. Matteo grins but it slowly fades when he sees Luna walk into the cafeteria and completely ignoring him. “What happened?” Simón asks when he sees Matteo’s vivid expression abruptly change. “No nothing, I just wish I got to share this moment with another person too.” When Simón turns his head and sees who Matteo is staring at, he realizes what Matteo meant.

Nina pulls out her purse and hands her phone to Luna. “I know you’re trying to pretend you don’t care but you do. Watch the video, it’ll get rid of all your curiosities.” Luna shakes her head in disapproval. “Nina, the least I want to do is watch a music video of the one I love flirting with a girl who has a huge crush on him as well. They’re practically soulmates, meant for each other,” Luna exaggerates. “Oh c’mon, I know it’s complicated, but you know that’s not true. If you’re not going to do it for him, then do it for yourself. You deserve to see why he arrived late to your date.” Luna glares at Nina and decides to take the phone.

Once the music video is out, everyone begins to cheer for Matteo. Luna sits even more depressed seeing at the ‘amazing’ chemistry Matteo and Viviana had in the music video. She can’t help but doubt herself even more when all the comments from his fans say they ship him with Viviana. “Nina, I’m not feeling so good. I think I’ll just head home.” Nina nods and Luna begins to get up from her chair and head out. Matteo notices and follows her out.

“Luna! Luna, wait up! I need to tell you something,” Matteo yells out. “Matteo not now, I’m not in the mood. Congratulations of your video, it was very nice. I just don’t feel so good okay.” Matteo catches up to her and stands in front. “Look Luna, I don’t know if you’ll listen to me now but please go to tomorrow’s concert I’m having. My manager is having me make a concert to promote the single, but it wouldn’t be the same without you. Please Luna. You never miss any of my concerts,” Matteo begs. Luna gradually smiles. “Really? You still want me there?”

“Of course, I do Luna.” Luna now can’t help but blush. “Matteo, of course I’ll go. Even though I’m still a little upset at you calling me jealous, standing me up on our date, and not believing or listening to me, I still care. Since you want me there, I’ll be there.” Matteo is surprised by Luna’s comment and begins to graciously smile too. It was a moment for them, they hadn’t had one like this in a long time. It felt needed.

Nico is in the rink sitting on one of the chairs, he seems to be working on something since he has his notebook open with his pen. Jim enters and sees him alone. “Hey there, what are you working on?” Jim asks. “Oh just a few verses, I’m trying to get ahead on the Roller Band song for the competition, but nothing seems to come into mind,” Nico says. Jim heads to the seat beside him. She sits down and carefully glances over his blank page. “Oh yeah you do seem to be having some trouble,” Jim chuckles. “If you’d like I can help, I’m use to writing songs with Yam.” Nico turns and faces Jim, “Yes of course. I need all the help I can get; it’s been a while for me since I got to write a song with the Roller Band.” They both laugh together and get working on the song.

Jazmín dashes to Delfi holding a small slip of paper. “You won’t believe what just happened?” Delfi carefully places her books into her locker after seeing Jazmín rush to her. “Is it something new for the Fundom or for your blog, Ja Jazmin?” Delfi predicts. “Nope, you’re very far off. Look at this,” Jazmín hands Delfi the note. The more she reads it, the more her eyes grow like a flower blooming in the season, keeps opening. She’s in plain shock as Jazmín nods from her amusement. “Right! I have a secret admirer!! I have to post about this on my blog!” Jazmín frantically grabs her phone from her pocket but right when she’s about to film, Delfi stops her. “No Jazmín, this is something special. Honestly, I think this is something you should keep for yourself, every celebrity likes to keep their personal life separate from their work life,” Delfi advises. Jazmín thinks for a second and says, “Nahhh I’ll still post it, plus this can even help us discover who the anonymous writer is!”

The Restaurant

Yam is wearing her golden shimmery dress that Jim helped her pick out. She’s very anxious about her date with Ramiro, she wants it to go out perfect since this was something she had been dreaming of for a while. He puts down the menu and slips his hand under hers to her surprise. He gives her a shy smile. “I had been dreaming of this for a while. Before, I would always try to move on, but I just couldn’t. My mind just couldn’t forget about you,” Ramiro admits. Yam begins to tear up. “I felt the same way for so long but never said anything worried you didn’t feel the same way. I’m so happy about this moment. I don’t care how long I had to wait, it was totally worth it.”

Throughout the whole night, Yam and Ramiro shared college stories and even old memories of each other. How Yam never stopped writing songs about him and how Ramiro would skate imagining about her. Everything went smooth till dessert came. A random man with a suit and tie approached their table and faces Yam. “You look familiar, are you Yamila Sanchez from that Ja Jazmin blog?” Yam stays startled and stutters, “uhhh yes why?” The man quickly pulls a card out of his pocket. “Hillside Records, I’m the owner. I would like to set up a meeting with you for a chance at a record deal.” Yam immediately glares at Ramiro for a response. He shows his approval and gestures for Yam to respond. “Yes I would love to!” Yam exclaims. “Great! I’m available tomorrow at 5 pm. There is one important detail I have to tell you,” the man says. “Yes, what is it,” Yam asks. “The record company is not in Buenos Aires. It’s in California.” He proceeds to hand her the card. “Think about it, I’ll see you tomorrow.” He leaves and Yam shows her disappointment to Ramiro, she couldn’t believe how such an exciting offer can turn to something so depressing. If she took this offer, that means she would have to leave her family, her friends, and her chance at being with Ramiro.

It’s the day of the competition. The gang gathers at the competition’s building. Jazmín holds her tablet in the air, recording every moment for her channel. Half of them are at the building while the other half are still at the hotel. “Luna, are you coming with us?” Yam asks. “I’ll catch up I just forgot my necklace,” Luna yelped. She rushed to her hotel room and grabbed the necklace off the nightstand. When she heads out, she slips and falls.

When Luna gets back up, she sees a bloody scratch on her knee. A woman from the guest relations desk comes running towards her, “oh you poor thing, you have hurt yourself,” she says. “Yeah, but it’s okay I’ll be fine,” Luna comments. “Oh, don’t be modest, you need help. Well my name is Alice Balsano,” the lady says. That’s when it hits Luna, it’s Matteo’s mom. No wonder her face looked so familiar for Luna. “Oh um nice to meet you, I’m Luna,” Luna sticks out her hand and Ms. Balsano shakes it.

“Oh, I can’t believe I’m meeting the infamous Luna. You look just as beautiful as how Matteo described you. Here I’ll quickly get the ice bucket and wrap your knee up in a bandage. You’ll be at the competition in no time.” Mrs. Balsano guides Luna to a nearby chair and elevates her leg. She was able to find a worker and tell them of the situation. They waited together for the concierge to come back with the ice and bandages.

“It’s a pleasure getting to know you, Luna. My son, he’ll probably hate me for saying this but he really loves you. He’s truly in love, I’ve never seen him like this ever before,” she confided. “I appreciate all the information, but Matteo and I are in a rough patch right now. I don’t feel comfortable talking about it,” Luna admits.

“I know, he told me but Luna, if you don’t mind me asking, I’m confused. If you forgave him and know he did all those mistakes, well I know my son can make stupid decisions sometimes but we’re all human, then why are you still upset at him?” Mrs. Balsano questions curiously.

“I’m not upset at him, it’s just that we always end up in some conflict or drama. Since we deal with so many issues together, I couldn’t help but think maybe we’re not compatible. Maybe we’re not meant to be together,” Luna confesses. “This isn’t me saying for you to get back with my son because that’s right, you should be the one to make that decision on your own, but I will give you some advice for life. In any relationship you’re in, you will always encounter conflicts and issues no matter what. Life is not perfect and this isn’t something you can avoid. For example, my husband and I just had a silly argument about the broken steering wheel in our car. It’s normal but I still love him and always will. That’s how true love is, going through different obstacles but life still bringing you back to that one person. It’s okay if you go through things as long as you go through it together with your partner. Going through hardships isn’t something you can avoid with anyone but at least you can go through them with the person you love.”

Luna stayed quiet for a moment. She couldn’t help but realize that Ms. Balsano had a point. That all relationships aren’t perfect but it’s worth it when you’re with the one you love most. “You’re right. It’s like an invisible string, I keep going back to him because we’re meant to be together.” The worker arrives with the bandage, ice, and wipe. They clean off the wound and wrap her knee. Luna grabs her backpack with skates and runs away. She returns right after to give her thanks. “Oh, I forgot to say thank you Mrs. Balsano, that was great advice. Also, thanks guys for the bandages and stuff,” Luna waves goodbye and runs to the competition building. “Good luck on the competition,” Mrs. Balsano yells out.

Luna arrives just in time to get dressed. “Luna where were you? Everyone was worried,” Nina stated. “Yeah, I got worried that maybe Tino and Cato kidnapped you too,” Simón joked.

“Don’t worry, I’m here and better than ever,” Luna exclaims. The gang is all dressed up in their attire. They all hold hands waiting for their name to be called next. Luna holds Matteo’s hand to his surprise, which leads to a beaming expression.

The announcer calls for the Jam and Roller. Simón, Nico, and Yam all walk on the stage and align themselves for the performance. The skating team enter the rink and get into positions. Juliana views from the corner and shows how proud she is of them. They truly worked really hard for this moment and prepared more than ever. The stakes are high knowing they all have to win for the Jam and Roller.

When the Roller Band begins to sing, Luna starts off with her routine. The plot is that the members are all statues in a museum and Luna is the one who wakes them all up. As she glides around every member, they all start skating doing the tricks. Nina sees them all from the audience and nostalgia rushes over her seeing how some of the tricks were ones they use to do back then. Luna and Matteo nod at each other before doing the Fire Serpent.

Gastón and Matteo lift Emilia and Ámbar up in the air as Luna’s turn comes up where she does a triple axle spin around them. The team’s choreography stuns the audience and everyone is in awe. Once the team finishes, they get a standing ovation.

They enter backstage again all chanting the words “Jam and Roller!” They all high five each other as Juliana enters. “You guys, whatever score you all get tonight just know I’m extremely proud of you all. You guys got together and worked hard like never before to save the Jam and Roller.” They all go in a group hug. Luna takes Matteo to the side and try to talk to him in private.

“Look Matteo, recently I’ve been confused on why we always end up running into some stupid drama or conflict. That’s why I needed my space but then a good friend gave me some incredible advice and that is this will always happen. Crazy obstacles that will try to break us apart but we have what the infamous Taylor would say, our invisible string always makes my path cross into yours. We’re meant to be,” Luna exclaims.

“You have no idea how fast my heart is beating right now. Whoever gave you that advice, I owe them my life. Luna, I love you and always will. Nothing is going to stop me from loving you. I was an idiot and didn’t listen to you but that doesn’t mean we’re incompatible. That just means it’s another conflict we shall have to resolve together. I will always say that you are La Luna but you shine like the sun. You bring forth light to my world and now I can’t live without it,” Matteo declares.

“Matteo I’m sorry too, in being a little harsh and avoiding you. I shouldn’t have run away from my problems and instead face them,” Luna apologizes. “Luna te amo, mi chica delivery,” Matteo proclaims. “Te amo, mi chico fresa.” Luna and Matteo press their lips against each other. She holds his neck while he holds her waist. Their kiss feels like it lasts forever.

“Should we interrupt them saying they’ve called the team up to hear the results,” Gastón asks Nina. “I think we should just let them be. They’ve gone through enough already,” Nina chuckles.

The Jam and Roller enter the rink all holding hands waiting for the scores to be called out. The presenter announces that…….

The Jam and Roller is the WINNER! The whole gang don’t stop screaming their cheers of joy and jump up and down. “Okay I think now is when we should interrupt them,” Gastón exclaims to Nina. He heads to Luna and Matteo and tell them the great news. Luna is blushed and feels embarrassed knowing Gastón had let them in their long kiss instead of telling them to go to the rink.

They all celebrate winning the prize money and having the Jam and Roller saved. A mysterious man approaches Luna though and hands her a card. “I saw what you did out there. It was impressive. How would you feel if I offered you a spot in our Olympic team?” Luna is shocked with the news the strange man has presented to her. Matteo nods to Luna. “It’s your dream Luna, you love skating,” Matteo stated. “I’ll consider it.” Luna responds and takes the card the man handed to her. The more she thinks about it, the more she realizes that she can compete sometimes while at other times accompany Matteo to his concerts. They would just have to manage their schedules for each other but it’s doable.

Jim and Ramiro all hug Yam. “At least we got to share our last times seeing each other on a happy note,” Jim suggested. “Don’t forget to facetime us at least twice a day and tell us how it’s all going okay,” Ramiro said. Yam nodded while wiping the tears falling on her face, she has to leave to Los Angeles right when they arrive back to Buenos Aires. “Don’t worry guys, nothing will separate us we’ll always stay united forever.”

Later that evening

“Close your eyes,” Matteo says. “But I do have them closed,” Luna whines. “No, I still see you peaking,” Matteo chuckles. He guides Luna, who has a bandana wrapped around her eyes, to a beach. When he takes the blindfold off, there’s a table with food nicely placed on top. He even included some strawberries and medialunas on the side. Her favorite dish is laid nicely as the main course and the table is beside the sea. The area is surrounded with canopies and fairy lights. It all looks like a dream.

“Wow Matteo, this all looks so beautiful,” Luna in awe with the whole place. Matteo faces her and says his speech.

“Luna, from the moment I met you and we bumped in Cancun, my life hasn’t been the same ever since. You have come into my life like a hurricane, and I wouldn’t want it any other way. You changed everything and made me the man I am today. I have been so lucky to be in your presence and got to see that beautiful smile every day. You are the sun roller skating around all of Buenos Aires, your unmistakable presence has everyone blown away, including me. (Matteo gradually gets on one knee) I knew for the longest that I want to spend every second of every minute of every day of my life with you. That has never changed, but I want it for sure. I want you to know that I will always be here for you. So, Luna Valente, would you be the sun, or should I say the moon to my night sky?” Luna gasps seeing Matteo propose. She covers her mouth in shock and doesn’t stop crying. She nods. “Yes! Yes! Yes,” she screams out. He carries her in bridal style while spinning her around and round.

Gastón and Nina come out from behind the bushes. Gastón is holding a camcorder and filmed everything. When Matteo lets go of Luna, she is surprised to see them two there. “Oh wow Gastón, I didn’t know you turned into Jazmín,” Luna joked. “No, I did him the favor of videotaping everything since he wanted this memory saved. I, of course, said yes since now I have actual evidence of him crying. He always bragged about how he ‘never cries,’” Gastón jokes. “Oh and Mr. Balsano how did you know I was going to say yes?” Luna questions.

“It’s too late to back out now Mrs. Balsano, plus I knew you couldn’t resist the charm,” Matteo chuckled. Gastón starts zooming in on Matteo. “Oh please bud, you’re over here crying a river of tears more than Luna. Yeah, some irresistible charm I see,” Gastón laughs.

They all group together for a hug as a family. The rest of the Jam and Roller gang interrupt their celebration and join them in the fun. “Also Matteo, how did you get my dad’s permission to propose?” Luna asks.

“Let’s just say your mom had to do a lot of convincing for me,” Matteo responds.

* 3 years after the third season of Soy Luna*

Screaming fans surround the front stage chanting his name. Matteo is shocked seeing how everyone is able to recite his lyrics while he sings his final song. It's the last concert stop of his tour, the Alla Boy Tour.

When the song is over, he says goodbye and thanks his fans for coming to the show. As he enters backstage the only name that pops in his mind is Luna. She promised she would be there for him on his last stop of the tour. The only question is... where's Luna?

"Simón I'll talk to you later, I have to go. I promised Matteo I'll be there for him at the end of his last concert," Luna states after hanging up on Simón in the phone. Luna puts her roller skates to the test as she skates her way to the love of her life.

"Has anybody seen Luna? I can't find her anywhere," Matteo says asking everyone in the area. "I can't believe she's late again!" Matteo gets frustrated and enters his dressing room. "Can I come in?" Viviana asks Matteo. "Yes of course!" Matteo proudly exclaims hoping it's Luna. As Viviana enters the room, Matteo's beaming face immediately changes to a depressed frown.

"Why the sudden change of attitude Matteo? Is it because it's your last show?" Viviana asks Matteo with a worried look. "No... well yeah I'm sad about that but Luna is not here yet," Matteo sighs losing hope with every word he says. Matteo really thought Luna was going to be there that night for him. He's shocked and depressed at the same time.

Viviana tries to keep her annoyed face from being shown whenever he mentions Luna. Deep down inside, she's annoyed and tired of hearing him talk about Luna. For her it's sickening, but Matteo doesn't know that. "Don't think about her Matteo. She's a waste of time especially if she didn't come knowing how important it was for you. It's ok Matteo cause I'm here." Viviana tells him while giving him a hug.

In the midst of all this, Luna finally arrives at Luna Park, where the arena is located. She smiles at the thought knowing Matteo specifically chose that stadium for her as his last stop on his tour; he did it to show her that he will try to hang out with her as much as possible since the tour is over. Luna tries to enter though the back without any fans recognizing her. Luna and Matteo have been public for awhile, so it's sometimes hard for her to be unrecognizable at one of his concerts.

"Hey have you seen where Matteo is at, Rafeal," Luna asks to Matteo's manager. "Oh yeah the last time I saw him he was heading towards his dressing room. He may be there," Rafeal responds to Luna. "Thanks. See you later Rafeal."

Luna runs to Matteo's dressing room. She can't wait to give him a huge hug and finally be able to spend some more time with Matteo. Right when Luna opens the door, she sees a strange girl with long black hair wearing a red dress sitting very close to Matteo. Her face was only a few centimeters apart from his face. It seems as if they were about to kiss.

The gang is huddled around each other at the Jam and Roller rink. Ámbar proceeds to glance over her clipboard that carries the original sign-up sheet. “So, Ámbar, do we have enough members to make up a team for the competition.” Ámbar quickly looks Luna in the eyes and decides to call out the list of names. “The official Jam and Roller team members are Luna, Simon, Matteo, Gaston, Ramiro, Jim, Delfi, Pedro and Jazmin.” Everyone starts counting with their fingers but before anyone gets the chance to start counting, Gaston and Nina both yell out “that’s nine members, we’re missing one.” Luna rollers towards Ámbar. “Ámbar you’re not on the list. Are you going to join us? Please, pretty please join us. Whether you would like to admit it or not, you’re one of the best roller skaters out there and we need you.”

Ámbar takes a big gulp of air, processing everything that’s going on. Luna’s pout with her watery eyes has made Ámbar reconsider her decision. Before she always wanted the worst for Luna, but the past few years has made them become inseparable. She now views Luna as her younger sister plus being the manager of the gang’s favorite place has made her feel as everyone’s bigger sister, being the mature one. Ambar gives in. “Fine, I’ll do it. Especially since you guys need me so much. You guys aren’t wrong though, I am the best,” Ámbar jokes. The whole gang cheers, everyone jumps up and down and excitement enters the room.

Everyone is huddled as they all set their hands out and chant, “ready! One, two, three Jam and Roller!” Juliana enters through the chaos of excitement. “Opa opa! Seems like the group has never separated and feels closer than ever.” The gang all turn around facing her, their faces show signs of shock. No one was expecting this except one certain person in the room. “Juliana! You’re back! Wait how did you know we got the team back together for a competition?” Simón asks. “A little birdy called me and said that a certain team needed my help so I came as quick as I can.” The whole gang starts whispering, wondering who was it that reached out to her. Luna gives Ámbar and Simón a little smirk.

“So have you guys chosen which song you all are going to skate to?” Juliana questions. “Nope,” Ámbar answers. That’s when the idea hits Simón. “I have an idea! Maybe not only the team gets back together for this competition, but also the band? What do you guys say, Nico, Pedro?” Simón suggests. Nico and Pedro look at each other in disbelief and with a loss of words. “Uhh yes of course! You have no idea how long I’ve missed playing on the drums,” Pedro states. “And you guys have no idea how long I’ve missed collaborating the three of us together again,” Nico chimes in. “I guess that settles it. The band is back!!” Simón announces. The room is filled with so many emotions as everyone is so excited about what’s to come next. True nostalgia and memories really do start coming back to them since working together and competing to save their beloved place truly brings them back to old times. Just like how Matteo and Luna wouldn’t stop stealing glances at each other through the midst of it all.

This competition will be fierce including what’s called two stages. The first stage is the basic entry in which they record a video of their performance, the second stage is where they have the official competition. They first though have to make it through the first stage. For the next few days, Juliana tries to prepare them with some exercises since it has been years some of them roller skated. Then they gradually learned again how to do some simple routines as pairs then as groups. Before the gang knew it, in a week they have mastered all the skills and are ready to practice the actual choreography for the performance. Luna and Matteo still haven’t talked much though, yet they’re constant staring proves to show that they still miss and love each other.

Monday Evening at the Jam and Roller (after about a week and a half)

Juliana tells the gang that they can rest, and training has just finished. The group has finally mastered the double turns alignment but are struggling with air spins. Matteo heads over to Luna like old times, while she’s drinking water near the rails. “What’s the matter Chica Delivery? Has all the training finally tired you out?” Matteo flirtatiously says. Luna tries to hide her blushed cheeks and smirks at his comment. “Chico fresa you know that can never happen. My internal adrenaline is endless.” Luna and Matteo begin to laugh. Luna stops once she remembers why she was trying to avoid him for the longest. “Matteo don’t think I forgot everything that has happened.” She begins to stare at the floor, holding back a tear. “I’ve already apologized, what more do you want?” Matteo begs.

“You know that’s not the issue. I just feel like I can’t trust you anymore. You promised me you wouldn’t lie to me anymore and that’s exactly what you did. I don’t want our relationship to be built out of lies. I’d rather stay single instead of having someone stab me in the back unaware.” Matteo widely opens his eyes, it feels like someone has sucker punched him in the gut. For a long time, Matteo has tried to prove to Luna he has changed and does truly care about her, how can one little lie bring all the pain back. “Luna, you know I would never want to break your heart or ‘stab you in the back.’ I just lied about this because I knew you would get jealous of me hanging out with Viviana.” Luna gasps in astonishment. “Jealous! Now that’s a joke right there. For me to be jealous of her, that would mean I would want to be like her or want something she has but that’s not the case at all. I’m happy with the life I live and don’t want to change it. I just don’t like how close she’s been with you. You know I’m okay with you having female friends, but not when one tries to kiss you when I’m not around and constantly wrapping her arms around you. Even the news outlets think you broke up with me and dating her because of how much ‘quality time’ you guys spend together.”

Matteo responds with, “You know how much I miss it when you call me Chico Fresa and miss these fun bantering moments. I would never fall for her because you’re my one true love. You may not be jealous of her but you’re jealous of her getting to spend time with me. Is that it? You want to hang out more with me? How do I make it up to you?” Luna shakes her head and says, “You just don’t get it and it’s okay. I don’t feel like arguing today.” Luna rollers away and Matteo covers his face as he lays his elbows on the silver polished rails. Gastón heads to him and pats his shoulder. “She still hasn’t forgiven you?” Matteo shakes his head in response. His phone begins to ring in the pocket of his jeans. He lifts himself up and pulls it out. “Hello…. yes……. Already in a week? ..... ah I see, okay that seems appropriate I guess…...tomorrow okay, I’ll see you then.” Matteo hangs up and places his phone in his pocket again. “Who was that?” Gastón questions. “It’s my manager. They’re planning to release my music video with Viviana at the end of this week. Usually, we don’t release music videos this early but apparently she demanded for it since it would look good and perfect for this summer. Well to prepare for the release, they want me to perform with her in a live concert.” Matteo’s expression shows his stress and frustration. “But what about the Jam and Roller training?” Gastón asks him. “I’ll try to practice for the concert before the Jam and Roller training starts every day and the concert is on Saturday so that day I guess I’ll just miss training for that one day. I have no other choice.”

Gastón keeps thinking and doesn’t say a word till an amazing idea slips in his head. “I just got it! I just thought of the perfect plan that’ll get Luna to forgive you and get back together with her.” Matteo starts smiling as Gastón whispers the plan into his left ear. “Hermano, you’re a genius.”

The Benson Mansion

Ámbar doesn’t stop glaring at the letter in front of her. It was the original copy that was locked up in Sharon’s vault. This was what her biological mom wrote to her before she gave her away, it includes her phone number. She wants to call that number, desperately wants to but what if this number doesn’t work anymore? Or what if it does? She feels so confused. The closer the wedding gets, the scarier it feels for her. She wants to invite her biological mom and maybe even Sharon, she’s just undecided. It’s more than just complicated for her.

She sucks up every bit of courage left in her, grabs her phone and types in the numbers smeared at the bottom of the letter. It’s…. ringing. The longer she has to wait, the faster her heart beats. The phone stops ringing. “Hello,” the person on the other end answers. Ámbar’s voice begins to crack, “Uh… yes is this Sylvana Ariel?” Ámbar takes a big gulp of air. The person on the other end responds, “yes this is she. Who do I have the pleasure speaking to?” When Ambar hears that it’s her, she decides to move forward with the plan of meeting her. Maybe it was destiny for her to still have this phone number for so many years? “Yes, this is Ámbar, Ámbar Smith. We need to talk. Are you available today?” Ámbar takes control of the situation showing no signs of hesitation, even though her heart says otherwise. “Oh Ámbar? Yes, I’m available today.” Ámbar takes one good look at the letter and answers back, “Good. Meet me at Pachani’s restaurant today at 7 p.m.” The lady answers with an okay before Ámbar hangs up the phone.

She didn’t know this day would come so soon. Getting to meet her birth mother. What should she say? What should she do? Maybe this would help her understand her whole story and discover more who she really is before she gets married. Simón walks into the living room. “There you are. I thought you would be at the Jam and Roller; you never miss an afternoon of work?” Ámbar quickly folds the letter and slips it into her purse. “Oh yeah I just came home to… find another bridal magazine. I thought I left one of my favorite ones here in the living room.” Simón scrunches up his face, “here? In the living room of the Benson Mansion? But you always look at them at our apartment?” Ámbar clasps her purse and places the strap around her arm. “Oh well I sometimes look at them here whenever I visit the Valentes and have a cup of coffee, by mistake one of these days I left my bridal magazine.” Simón nods showing how he understands. “So how are bridal things going?”

“Pretty smooth. Luna and Nina agreed to go order the sets of flowers and decorations at the boutique right across town,” Ámbar states. “Oh, that’s nice. Luna and Nina were so kind to offer their help. What would we do without them?”

“Yes, I agree. We’re very lucky to have them indeed. Um there is one thing I forgot to tell you. At around 7 p.m I won’t be at home yet, I have a meeting with some other law school students for this project we have going on, so I won’t be home.”

Simón’s smile fades away. “Aww I’ll miss you, but I do wish you good luck on the project. I know you’ll do great on it.” Ámbar smiles from thinking how lucky she is to have a caring, understanding partner by her side. They hug each other and head out of the mansion.

Lacey’s Boutique

Luna and Nina wait at the front desk holding a slip of paper that carries a list of things they need to purchase for Ámbar’s wedding. “He said that?” Nina whispers. “Yep, I can’t believe he called me jealous when he was the one who lied and created this whole mess in the first place. When we got back together, we agreed on no secrets and to always communicate. That’s the only way a relationship can go well, just look at Ámbar and Simón?”

“I absolutely agree. I felt awful when Gaston spied on me that day, so I understand what you mean. Luckily everything is fixed now,” Nina cheers. “I’m happy for you Nina, sadly in between Matteo and I is a person who doesn’t stop flirting and hanging out with him. Plus, it’s so obvious too, even Simón thought he was dating Viviana and broke up with me. I can’t believe Matteo doesn’t believe me and instead calls me jealous. After everything we’ve been through.” The cashier heads to the counter and Luna and Nina’s conversation ends. “So, is this the list for everything?” Luna nods in approval. “Okay great, everything will be prepared in time and the delivery will be sent to the place on the date of the card.” Luna picks up the card and puts it away in her tiny backpack.

“Thank you,” she begins to head out before the cashier stops her. “Wait, I have something to give you.” He pulls out another card from his pocket. “Here’s my phone number, maybe we can have a cup of coffee together someday if you’d like?” Luna is speechless and turns to Nina for a choice of words. Nina shrugs and seems to be just as confused as her. “Um... well the thing is I’m in a relationship… well right at this moment I’m not sure…. Honestly I don’t know it’s complicated me and my boyfriend well after what he did, I don’t think he’s still my boyfriend but I don’t know…” Luna stops talking when the cashier extremely perplexed expression shows vividly. “Um… well once you get all that resorted and decide not to be with this… complicated person feel free to give me a call.” He leaves and heads to the back of the store. “Luna, I’m shocked he’s still into you after everything you blurted out. I think you even fried his brain.” Nina and Luna giggle their way out.

Jim and Yam’s Apartment

Ramiro adjusts the collar of his nicely firm long sleeve button up shirt. He’s holding a bouquet of sunflowers and is trying to collect the right words to say to Yam. He knocks on the door and waits for a response. “I’m coming,” she says. For Ramiro, hearing Yam’s voice is like a breath of fresh air.

She opens the door and is surprised to see Ramiro’s well put together fit. “Before you say anything I want to do this right. Yam, I know our relationship has been like an ongoing rollercoaster, we’ve been through the ups and the downs but the one thing that has always stayed constant is my love for you. After everything that has happened, I always knew I love you and my path ends up meeting yours. Yam would you like to go on a date with me?” Yam covers her mouth in amusement. She’s appalled from the beautiful surprise he’s presented her, and with a speech too. Usually, Ramiro is too cool for all of this but seeing what he has done has proven enough to Yam that he’s committed. “Ramiro of course, I would love to. In fact, I was always thinking what took you so long?” Yam begins to chuckle. “I guess fear from this not working out, but you can’t always live in fear for the rest of your life.”

Matteo shakily takes off his guitar and jumps off stage to run after Luna. The crowd of screaming fans get a hold of him and try to keep him from leaving. The security guards all line up to get Matteo out of the pit. One bodyguard runs beside him to keep him safe as he exits the arena. When he enters the parking the lot, Luna is already gone. “Luna! Luna! Luna, please answer me!” He yells out to the night sky above. There’s no answer. He has no choice but to go back inside to the arena and finish the concert since it’s part of his job.

Nina runs backstage and looks for Gastón. When she finds him, she begins to scold him. “Gastón, what went through you guys’ heads as having Matteo and Viviana kiss knowing Luna was going to attend his concert! She’s devastated now.” Gaston’s facial expression grows worrisome. “Kiss?!! That wasn’t part of the plan at all. On the contrary, we were going to have Matteo afterward sing a special song that he composed for Luna so she can take him back and forgive him. He was going to publicly apologize.” Nina looks at him confused. “What? But that’s not what happened at all?” Matteo dashes into his dressing room all red with watery eyes. Gastón and Nina rush in behind him. “I lost her. I’ve officially lost her. She will never take me back after this,” Matteo stutters. He sees that Nina is in the room. “Nina where is she? I need to talk to her. The last time I saw her she was dancing with you. You must know where she is?” Matteo gives Nina a flood of questions. “Matteo, I have no idea. She stormed out of the place without me. I tried chasing after her too till I lost her. She hasn’t responded to any of my phone calls and messages.” Matteo sits down on the chair and doesn’t talk, just stares at the ground feeling hopeless. He looks up at Gastón and admits, “I’m such an idiot. All this time Luna was trying to show me the signs of how Viviana did like me and was trying to break us apart. I called her jealous and let that woman manipulate me and destroy our relationship all for some five seconds of fame. I let Luna slip away through the cracks of my hand and now there’s no way back.”

Next Morning

Luna is on her bed, huddled around used tissues and empty ice cream tubs. Nina knocks on her door. “Luna, may I come in?” Luna yells “yes” and Nina enters her room, to her it’s no surprise there’s a mess. “Oh Luna, I know you feel awful but I’m telling you it’s not what you think.”

“I know exactly what it is. At first, I thought I was the crazy one, assuming that Viviana liked him but no I was right. Can’t believe he listened to her instead of me and now she has him wrapped around her manicured fingernail.” Luna gets up facing Nina. “You know I don’t want to live my life being with someone who will never listen to a thing I say and always try to argue with me. Matteo and I are just not compatible, we’re not meant to be and it’s time I come to terms with that,” Luna claims. “Luna, maybe you should go talk to him and work things out. Yes, he did do all those things but I can guarantee you that he feels bad for committing all of these mistakes. Maybe you should give him this chance to speak to you?” Luna shakes her head. “No Nina, I’m done with all this drama. Plus, we’ve got more important stuff to worry about such as Ámbar and Simón’s wedding and the Jam and Roller team’s competition. We have a lot more serious responsibilities to deal with. I’m not letting this stupid drama get in between any of that.”

Nina nods and helps Luna pick up her room. She receives a phone call from Gastón and picks it up. She proceeds to head to the hallway. “Hello?” “So, what did Luna say?” Gastón asks.

“It’s not looking to good. She doesn’t want to speak to him at all. She feels like whenever she’s with him, all it does is bring drama,” Nina says.

“Maybe if Matteo does the grand gesture, like he wanted to do in the first place it’ll make her change her mind?” Gastón suggests.

“Honestly after everything that has happened, I think the grand gesture is just not a good idea, at least for now. I know Luna very well and she is under a lot of stress, maybe it’s best to just give her some time on her own to figure some stuff out?” When Gastón hears this, he outwardly sighs and expresses his stress. “I don’t think Matteo would like that at all. You’re right on what you said but I don’t think Matteo can survive so long not being able to talk to Luna this way.”

Jam and Roller

Simón is sweeping the floor as Nico and Pedro approach him with anxious looks on their faces. “Uhh Simón, I think you need to see this,” Pedro tells him. Simón takes the tablet from his hands and is extremely confused about the situation. His expressions dramatically changes when he sees the clip on-screen of Viviana and Matteo kissing on stage. “How did this happen?” Simón yells. “It was at Matteo’s concert yesterday,” Nico answered. “No wonder she hasn’t been receiving my or Nina’s calls. Unbelievable.” Right after Simón sees the clip, Matteo enters the Jam and Roller and goes up to them. “Have you guys seen Luna? I haven’t been able to find her since last night.” Matteo shows signs of worry.

After letting go of the broom in his hand, Simón faces Matteo. “If I were you, I’d start talking now cause you have a lot of explaining to do. No one and I mean NO ONE hurts Luna okay you got that.” Ámbar rushes into the cafeteria after hearing all the noise. “What, what happened? Did something happen to Luna?” Ámbar asks. Simón turns to Ámbar. “Celebrity boy over here kissed another girl on stage,” Simón mocks. Ámbar stays stunned. “Matteo what were you thinking?” Matteo takes in a huge gulp. “I promise you guys this wasn’t planned, she kissed me! She grabbed my face and put her lips on mine. The night was not supposed to end like that. You guys are just going to have to believe me,” Matteo pleaded.

The gang all looks at each other in disbelief. They know Matteo would never try to hurt Luna but lately he has been extremely suspicious hanging out a lot with that Viviana girl. Luna now enters the place. Everyone is staring at her. “Why are you guys all staring me?” Luna chuckles. Matteo gets out from behind Ámbar. Luna vividly frowns. “Yeah no, I am not getting in between any of this. Please leave me out of any of that drama okay. We’ve got very important stuff to work on like hey, the choreography and practicing for the next competition. The results haven’t arrived yet but there’s always hope and what better time to practice then now?” Luna walks away into the lockers.

When everyone still stays huddled, Ámbar exclaims, “well you heard the girl. Everyone either practice the choreography or resume to their daily tasks.” Ámbar walks away and while everyone is distracted, she goes into the locker room. “You know if you need someone to talk to, I’m here, always,” Ámbar says to Luna. “I know and I appreciate it, but I just want to pretend as if last night doesn’t exist and I don’t know Matteo.” Luna returns to tying on her skates. “You know you can’t avoid him forever,” Ámbar advices. “I know but I shall try to. At least for now.”

Once Luna and Ámbar leave the locker room, Jim and Yam head in. “So, there’s something I need to tell you. It’s good news but also has a downside,” Yam admits to Jim. “That sounds confusing but I’m all ears,” Jim giggles. “I got a record deal offer. It’s amazing but the company is located in California which means I would have to move there to make my music and release it,” Yam confesses. Jim stares in shock. “Well, if that’s what you want. Look Yam this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, I wouldn’t want to be the one to hold you back and I don’t think Ramiro would either.”

Yam begins to tear up. “I don’t want to leave you guys.” Jim hugs Yam. “You wouldn’t be leaving us. Think of it as a ‘see you later,’ cause that’s exactly what it is. You have to follow your heart Yam, this is a huge opportunity. Something you’ve been dreaming of for the longest. You should go for it,” Jim says.

Matteo stands near the entrance of the rink, staring indiscreetly at Luna skate. He wishes he can just join her, and everything would be okay. He rollers over at Luna and tries to get her attention. He says every silly thing that pops up in his head. He grows frustrated at how she sees right through him. “Luna please talk to me. It can’t end like this. Please,” Matteo begs. Luna skates right beside him and heads out. The gang enters with Juliana. “Why is Luna leaving?” Juliana asks. “We’re supposed to train.” Matteo chases after her. “Luna! Luna!”

Jim sits down on one of the seats, right beside Nico. “Hi Jim! Wow you look a little… tense,” Nico greets Jim after seeing her very flustered in blush pink. “Today is a day of surprises. Yam got a music deal offer but that means she would have to move to California. I’m happy for her and very proud but that also means I would have to let go of her. I’m used to always being with her and we even planned to stay together forever but this is a huge opportunity for her. She can’t say no to this. I’ll support her through and through. It still hurts though you know?” Jim groaned.

Nico tries to comfort her. “Wow that is tough. I guess the only thing I can tell you that it’s not forever, not being able to see Yam. Just know you will get to see her again and hang out. I thought it was going to be forever me being separated with the Roller band, my best friends who are like brothers to me. Luckily, destiny had my path cross into theirs again. When it’s meant to be like that, it’ll happen. You can stay connected virtually with Yam till you guys get to see each other again. Your sister will always be with you.” Jim gradually smiles and wraps her arms around Nico. He appears a little surprised at first, then gets readjusted to her comfort. He hugs her back. They stay like this for a while without even noticing. They break apart once Juliana begins practice.

“Well, I guess we’re going to have to train without them for now. Since you all have already stretched, let’s start with the middle of the choreography,” she announces. Simón and Ámbar line up next to Gastón and Delfi. Juliana starts the dub step music and Simón grabs Ámbar’s hips while Gastón does the same with Delfi. They carry the girls on top and do a spin, little did Simón know his shoelace had untied. One of the laces gets caught on to the back of the wheel. When he feels that he’s losing balance, he immediately puts Ámbar on the ground but couldn’t save himself on time. His ankle twists causing him to fall on the floor. “Ahhhh” he screams with agony. The whole gang rushes over. “Ay mi amor are you okay? How badly does it hurt? It’s okay I’m here, everything will be okay,” Ámbar reassures Simón. “I think I sprained it,” Simón responds. “I’m calling the medics now,” Juliana states.

Benson Valente Mansion

Matteo had seen from far away that Luna was heading home but couldn’t catch up to her. He knocks on the door and Monica opens it. “Why hello Matteo. What are you doing here?” Monica asks. “I came here to ask if I can talk to Luna. Will that be okay?”

Monica sighs. “Well, I don’t think Luna wants to see you right now. She’s not feeling too good.” Matteo shakes his head. “I’m the reason why she doesn’t feel good. Look, can you please let her know that I’m sorry, for everything. That it wasn’t ever my intentions of what Viviana decided to do on stage. Ms. Valente, I would never try to hurt your daughter, I care about her very deeply. She means everything to me. Without her, my life just isn’t the same. She owns a piece of my heart and I’m not complete without her.” Monica stays a little shocked by his confession. “She’ll be okay, it’s just now she needs some time. For her, it feels like everyone is trying to keep her wrapped in a cocoon, wondering if she’s okay or not. She will be, she just needs time to heal and think about everything. Don’t worry though cause she cares a lot about you too, when she’s ready she’ll talk to you too okay,” Monica reassures him.

Matteo shows his appreciation with a thanks. He leaves gloomily, wondering where Luna could be. That’s when he gets a crazy, but plausible idea. He heads over to the side of the Benson mansion house and sees one room’s light on. He assumes its Luna’s and takes the chance. He grabs a nearby rock from the dirt below and launches the rock to her window. He grabs another tiny rock and throws it at her window again. He repeats this process till the brunette girl slides the window open. When he sees a shadow figure behind the window, he let’s go of the rock he was about to launch for the seventh time. “You again? What are you still doing here Matteo, get out. With those rocks you’re going to break something,” Luna yells out.

He couldn’t stop smiling finally getting to hear Luna talk to him, whether it was to scold him or not. “You’re a handful to get to, but that’s not the point. Look I love you, Luna Valente! I will always love you! I should’ve listened to you from day one that Viviana was no good, but I was blinded from work and being so focused on what my manager wanted. I wasn’t planning to kiss her either. She was the one who grabbed my face and kissed me. I had a whole surprise planned out, for you. It was supposed to be a public apology but since that didn’t get to happen I’m here now. I’m sorry Luna.”

Luna’s pursed lips turn to a little grin. “I forgive you,” she exclaims.

“Yes! Yes! Yes!” Matteo jumps around gleefully.

“But I’m not ready for a relationship Matteo. This is a lot and I still need to figure out my future and what I’m going to do. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I can’t get back together with you. I don’t feel ready,” Luna’s eyes begin to water.

“No! Luna no, please you can’t say that. Remember the day when I kissed you in the rain, you promised me we will be together forever,” Matteo attested.
