Throwback July 13, 2017. Originally posted on that other platform one of the first time over there after the square aspect ratio stopped being mandatory I guess. Not sure. Still very much, however, remember this very location, having passed by more than just once during the last decades.

So excited to start drawing the third chapter...I don't know if I should make this comic a bit explicit or nor, since I want to publish it on an editorial and maybe making it nsfw it's a bad idea. Anyways. Hope you enjoy it. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Again, I'm putting the morston tag just for reach more people but they are completely different characters
So, I finished Southbound this past week, as you know! And I want to reiterate that you are truly one of the most talented writers in this fandom, and your understanding of Sukuna's character is so precise it's almost seductive to read your prose and hear his voice in my head.
One of my absolute favorite themes in this fic was how you explored and displayed kink spaces within the framework of an admittedly questionable relationship (conflict of interest, age gap, and manipulation abound). Even though Sukuna is a ruthless businessman in this iteration, keeping with the core of his character, I loved that he never let any extenuating factors compromise his role in the kink community he built around himself. He never let his frustrations or anger compromise his principles as a dom, and that, I think displays a deeper understanding of who Sukuna is as a person both canonically and beyond.
I also loved that you emphasized safety, consent, patience, and due diligence when it comes to navigating kink spaces. You didn't try to sanitize it, and yet the picture you painted was so realistic (I say this as an active member in my own local kink scene). From an environmental storytelling standpoint, The Shrine became one of the best set pieces for the entire story because it wasn't just a focus on Sukuna and his relationship with MC, but a study of everyone in the scene. We learn more about the ensemble cast in this setting than we do anywhere else.
And in a way, that's also very in-character for Sukuna. His seat of power--the jewel in his proverbial crown, as it were--is The Shrine. It is the epicenter of everything he is, and to enter it is to be stripped down your barest truth, to dredge up your deepest desires no matter how oily and dark. And we see all kinds of people revealed: the seasoned subs who move with confidence and grace even as they bend to the whim of who holds their collar; the manipulative and potentially dangerous members who infiltrate the community and violate consent boundaries; even the younger pups whose repeated exposure to the scene leads to their own individual journeys of self-discovery. There's a sense of sonder in the way you write, in that all of these background characters have a significant weight in the fabric of the story: they have their own journeys they're on, their own reasons for submitting to Sukuna's yoke, and all of them different.
Sukuna himself is menacing and seductive all at once--just as he is in canon. I loved every interaction because you write him the way he's supposed to be written: no matter where he is on the page, he's stealing the scene. His presence is felt in every line of dialogue
All of this and you still managed to make your Reader-insert a fully-realized dynamic character. An absolute masterclass in storytelling.
I said this on AO3 already but you deserve love here too. I also made notes and highlights of some of my favorite parts with more details. π
Every time you compliment me I feel like a little farmer being praised by a godlike entity that descended upon my lil farm to tell me my lil crops are fire π₯Ή
Sukuna would never let one of his worlds bleed into the other, hence the moment he feels his fury bordering the threshold he acts on it. The man who says every now and then how he dislikes taming brats, how he loves obedience and devotion and worship... having the time of his life taming that little rascal of a brat that NO ONE forced him to tame. I love how insufferable he is and how far he will go just to deny he's having fun. I love to place Sukuna in scenarios he will thrive, like the whole Kink scene, and then I go and give him a fucking giant boulder to roll, or I simply chain him to a heavy ass anchor and watch him struggling to figure out that the chain is made of paper and the boulder is styrofoam, the only actual issue lays within himself and the way he refuse to sit with his fucking feelings for FIVE SECONDS.
Also I'm totally and completely passionate about giving background characters their own little sagas. I love to read it, and I love to write it. I love to know what the fuck the little friend of the person we saw in chapter 4 is doing in chapter 28, I wanna know how their little issue was solved, I wanna know what the fuck happened to their lives. I love knowing!!! I love following many storylines! My audhd fucked brain is so happy whenever I spot a character having their life and their objectives! I do think a lot about how Maki helps Yuuta into the scene and they end up performing a LOT in the Shibari presentations. I also have their stories in my head, how Yuuta doesn't date Maki still, how he dates Rika, how things take a swing for the bad side when Rika inevitably dies in a fucked up twisted way, and how Maki helps him through and comforts him when he comes to the club for solace, maybe trying to feel something, maybe trying to forget, and she finally starts to understand his temperatures, when he's able to endure and when she gives him some deep aftercare or comfort session. They are so dear to me. I also think Nobara, at some point, tried to mouth Toji off and they ended up arguing much to Megumi's despair. We do know that at some point Megumi WILL find out that Hoshigaki pup not only FUCKED his dad, she has scenes with him every now and then. Yuuji and Megumi are there, drinking on Sukuna's bar, sighing and chatting about how this damn girl, their friend, Yuuji's brief fuckbuddy, apparently can't see an unfucked older man related to them. Fucks one's unc and one's dad. Hoshigaki be aiming high. Ok I'm rambling.
All of my Readers are, in some degree, a character. They are all OCs to me, all of them have name, surname, a story, a personality, a stablished way to respond to the events happening, much like Sukuna, Satoru and every other character. I think this helps me a lot in writing, and I do think it's something that lacks in many many pieces. I love when the MC has personality and has a line of thought we can kinda follow, a behavior we can expect, a way of thinking that makes sense. Thank you for your lovely words and kindness, you are forever one of my strongest Muses when it comes to JJK stories, writing and Sukuna discussions. Actually an discussion ngl, It's always a blast to pick any kind of media apart with you. β₯

character design thing thats been on my mind for one of my new silly guys
a thing I'm keeping in mind about a character I'm making is taking what I have learned from an irl friend who has the same hair color and type (blond and straight)
like for the character I'm specifically developing (still in its early stages of writing) I made him have blond layered hair dyed with this deep red color at the start-ish of the story (its to me one of his most memorable features to me)
the irl friend I talk to who has had dyed their hair red on multiple occasions has told me about how every time they get their hair dyed red it tends to fade into oranges and pinks after just a few washes
with that in mind I am going to make sure my character has his hair get lighter and lighter as the story goes on, ofc it won't be all that noticeable (part of it due to him not having all that much access to proper running water to wash it for periods of time), but considering how he does not get it redyed for a while yeah its gonna fade by the end of it all
