A couple of days passed since he’d “accidentally” found Blasphemous Scriptures and Pictograms on the datapad he “borrowed” from Shrapnelle’s “to make a call.” Though the discovery caused a trademark rise of unhealthy unwarranted jealously (like any unauthorized interaction did) it wasn’t precisely scandalous enough for Soundwave to spring into action right away. He was a busy responsible mech with an important job to do and a Soundwave-shaped dent in his mattress to keep.

But it was time to check out his uniquely-named competition. What was with them and their flashy designations anyway?

Soundwave had lucked out. Memelord wasn’t hard to track, was even easier to creep up on. The signal dampeners and silencer did their job just fine to make for a quiet approachbut having a distracted (and partially disabled? It was like Robot Christmas came early) target made his job simpler. Slightly harder it had been to stand in wait and not die of boredom or avoid scratching those treacherous frame parts that had always gone itchy at the most unfortunate times (yes his butt was one of them.)

A short video playlist he’d been putting off for days almost came to its end on the inner screen of his visor when he finally caught it: a beautiful sight of Meme scared into a stupor through the semitransparent veil of an old Cybertronian automatic broom commercial.

So worth it.

Soundwave remained there unmoving, letting the ominous silence continue. It was a cheap and effective tactic. Gave him time to decide what sort of gross greasy takeout he wanted to get for dinner too.

The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly theme played somewhere far in the distance, only reaching the current location as a very faint echo. With each little AAaaAAAH the tension only grew stronger. Somewhere, 145 light years away, on a planet called Earth, a lone tumbleweed rolled through a tiny town located somewhere in the middle of Texas’ nowhere. A lone elder who witnessed the rolling tumbleweed suddenly became anxious over the sight and chewed on his cigarette, eyes rolling left and right.

Somewhere, there was a stand-off.

In space.

Between two robotic aliens.

The uncalled unexpected staring contest carried on, turning into lengthy minutes that dragged on like days. They stared and stared, staying still like two Dr Who rivaling angels who both waited for the other one to finally blink. For someone, this might feel more like a still frame from some movie; both their robotic bodies didn’t move an inch, not even Memelord’s rotor blades and antennas that sometimes had minds of their own.

It was until one of those needles fell out from his mouth in the most non-dramatic fashion. It more looked like an energon stick clumsily sliding out from a slobbery sparkling’s mouth, because the bitlet ended up staring in the empty corner, utterly fascinated by two walls connecting with each other.

The needle dropped on the floor with a little cling and Meme’s entire head followed the trajectory, like a cat which just shoved something valuable off the table. His attention snapped back to the silent infiltrator and he finally spoke.

“What do you want?”

10.) Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?

She recognizes that she has some level of depression, but hasn’t seen a medical professional about it, so she has no idea how severe it is or how to properly treat it. She chooses to handle it on her own with self medication, which usually takes form in the shape of laying around feeling sorry for herself, some drinking, and then eventually forcing herself to go back to work and acting normal until she actually feels normal again.

She may also have a small degree of PTSD, but speaking truthfully I have avoided going full throttle into this because I don’t want anyone harassing me over doing it wrong despite whatever research I can find and try to mimic. I’d say it’s there though, given to how panicked she can become whenever something gets rusty around her or they mention having the rust plague to her. War things may also trigger some responses but I’m not sure what, if anything at all.

1.) What makes you the most emotional about your muse?

QuickshaftI’m taking the word emotional as “last thing that made you nearly or actually cry” and that was when I was listening to Kings and Queens while writing up the initial post that brought Quickshaft to the scene. I’m not really sure why it hit me so hard, but I have a tendency to be weak against lovey dovey songs whenever I think about my trio.

BlackguardThe scenario I just described is technically also the last time I get misty eyed about Blackguard, and I can’t remember the time before that.

Whoops.

9.) Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?

To the first question - yes. I enjoy angst, but I also enjoy the resolution that comes afterwards too. Never ending angst gets really frustrating, boring, and redundant so I try to have solutions and as-close-to-realistic happy endings too.

QuickshaftWhat breaks Quickshaft’s spark the most is seeing how badly his passing affected the people he cared about. His bondmates, his amanti. Death always hurts and there’s really no preventing it or the pain it causes, but it still hurts to see how badly everyone took his sudden passing. He wishes that they wouldn’t have all jumped into war and took up murdering just to cope.

7♥️ - Has your muse ever cheated or been cheated on?

She has been a cheater, yes. It was a complete accident but she none the less cheated on Redstrike by failing to inform him of the other sexual/romantic relationships she had/made in their time apart. He’s been updated and stays updated since the blunder, but if you were to ever bring it up with her she’d be absolutely ashamed and would try to end the topic as quickly as possible.

As far as being cheated on goes, it’s a so-so. She’s never outright had a partner go behind her back but she’s been through instances of a partner not being completely honest about who/what else they’re doing. Some instances she forgave and continued seeing them, others she dropped like hot slag.

5♣️ - What would your muse change about their current lifestyle?

It’s a coin toss between being less sympathetic towards others, especially children, so she’d quit feeling sorry for them and trying to help with every little thing she feels like she can help with, and being less romantically dead.

If she could quit trying to help every mech who has some problem she could buy or fix away, she’d probably be a lot less stress. If she could quit picking up every kid who’s without their parent, her friends would probably make fun of her less and she’d be WAY less stressed.

Romance problems are as typical as they get but they still bug her. Blackout had been head over heels in love with her and she just could not recuperate those feelings for him at all. She wanted to because he deserved to be loved and she wanted him to feel loved, but she just couldn’t give it to him. She still blames herself to this day for their relationship struggles and wishes she could just quit being shut off to romantic gestures from others.

Q♠️ - Does your muse manipulate others easily or are they easily manipulated?

It’s a little of both.

Blackguard knows that acting sweet and compliant will generally get others to let down their guard around her, allowing her to sort of worm her way into their heads. From there, the worst she ever does is paint herself in a good image so they’ll find her more likable and maybe even eventually call her a friend.
