It's still surreal logging on and seeing him just chilling like he wasn't dead for 7+ real life years
Darien: *clearly traumatized by Gabrielle dying for his sake and doesn't know that trauma is being used against him*
Ember: cringe
First Wormblood "doodles" to figure out how I want to draw this guy.
Some notes on his looks:
-I took advantage of the notion that people think he's related to Mannimarco to vaguely give him his looks (definitely not me having same face syndrome). Having said that, I went with a more pinkish skin tone just to differentiate him a bit.
-I decided to take literally the cultists' decription for his eyes from his Meet the character, making them a brownish-black.
I'll ignore his actual eye color (blue?) from the teaser image... unless ESO will make me double down once his face is clearly revealed.
-Black paint is more of a personal touch. I do love my necromancers with painted bits, but to give it a functional reason, paint helps him keep his masked eyes looking as dark as possible without skin showing from beneath. He can be a little dramatic, as a treat.
-I surrender to the fact that he DOES have a moustache and a goatee, even if I think it doesn't fit him at all. Better making it work now then later!
One last thing; I kept his hair as tidy as possible for this first look to not take away from his face, but I like to imagine he has messier hair/ facial hair due to being masked and hooded all the time.
