#sortof.

TODAY TODAY. Nothing crazy happened today. I went to Nickelodeon and I sold food. LIKE I DO EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY.  NOTHING SPECIAL RIGHT? RIGHT. Only thing is I brought my sketch book. Now I've done this one other time thinking, "HEY MAYBE SOMEONE WILL NOTICE I'M DRAWING AND GIVE ME A JOB AND THAT WILL BE THAT." I soon realized that everybody draws there and they don't pay much attention to some kid doodling. So, disheartened I didn't bring it again.

This time I remembered that no one cares, but I still brought it anyway because i thought to myself, "you're going to be starting your class soon you should really be drawing more if this is what you want to do you have to do it a lot. AND YOU HAVE TO DRAW GIRLS TO. YOU HAVE TO PRACTICE. COURTNEY IS ALWAYS DRAWING." (yes courtney you are an example to me because you are consistently honing you're craft and doing better than I ever could. and I am jealous of you but not in a spiteful way just a goddamnit oliver get off your ass kind of way) but a funny thing happened. Two gentlemen who are fairly regular and know me stopped by and said "Careful you might get a job here."

I looked up to see who it was, smiled and said, "That's the plan." They laughed and started asking me about what i wanted to do. I told them character design or story boards. The one guy Dan, (who is super sweet and loveable and does designs for Dora) started giving me all these tips and pointers. And looked at my sketch book and was impressed!  That got me super nervous. I had to cut the conversation short because I  had to go back to work. But it was a big pick me up that I needed.

NOT only that but the woman I mentioned before who I showed my sketchbook came in while I was sketching on my break!She said "looks like you're working hard" And we got a conversation going too!  Told her I was starting classes next friday and she seemed excited for me.
