Assorted Stratt Headcanons
After the Hail Mary launched, Stratt was immediately subject to a public inquest for everything she did on the Petrova Task Force. She fully expected to go to prison, but in the end, no charges were filed.
Immediately after the public inquest, she hired a hitman to assassinate some warmongering government official. This is what landed her in prison. She has been asked many times if she got herself thrown in prison on purpose because of guilt about her actions on the project or to abdicate responsibility for humanity's fate. She has declined to comment every time.
She is a devout Catholic. She has not stepped foot in a church since the Petrova Task Force started, but she wears a crucifix under those turtlenecks and devotes one minute each Sunday to private prayer.
The only person who Stratt ever came close to telling about sending Grace to space against his will was the prison chaplain.
She asked him in confession what Isaac said to Abraham on the way down the mountain. He asked why she wanted to know. She never answered.
