the thing is that the quest for the silmaril was clearly intended to be celegorm and curufin's shot at redemption and it's not anyone's fault but their own that they continually beef it. the quest cannot succeed without the hound of celegorm and the knife of curufin. there are clearly celegorm and curufin shaped holes in the questing party to retrieve the sacred objects to which celegorm and curufin are oathbound. it is the fault of no one except celegorm and curufin that they aren't there for the main event. i wonder if that's why angrist snapped is because beren and luthien only needed the one but it would have held for all three if celegorm and curufin had been where they had every chance to be. shame they'll never know

i reached a new low today by the way. i lost the Very Important Work Keys. they are in my heart the blue keys because they used to be on a blue thing but they are now on a Bigass Wrench so people don't take them home. anyway i needed the keys. i could not find the keys. i asked my coworkers if they had the keys. they did not have the keys. i asked my coworkers to double check if they had the keys, frantically checking all the places keys might be.

There is exactly One (1) canonical queen of Gondor before the Fourth Age. I have filled in the rest of them.
Lóminis (1883-1994) married Lord Eärnil in 1920 at the age of 37. Her name means "dusk woman". She was not a queen, not a princess, nor a woman of any particular status, save that she was of the status to wed a lord. Eärnil loved her deeply. No personal writings of her own survive the historical record. Her death of a sickness that the hands of the King could heal in the year before Eärnil became king scarred both him and his son Eärnur deeply and drove them off the paths of the living. The last mother of a King of Gondor for a millennium.
