Caleb who knows your secret hobby of writing fanfiction on the internet.
You think you're sneaky, but he had already made a fake account complete with a profile picture, bio, and even reposts from time to time to seem like another human being.
He follows you and comments on your posts regularly and you suspect nothing-just another mutual who enjoys your interests, right?
He anticipates each post, a smirk curling on his lips when he sees you had posted something new.
All your previous entries had been rather tame, cute scenarios with your favorite characters, but this one was different.
The little warning at the top made him curious and he clicked the 'read more' button.
He read the filthy 5k fic you wrote about the character you were currently obsessed with, his eyes widening, totally taken aback by how vulgar you could be.
To think that just a door away, you were hunched over your computer writing about this, thinking about this-
"Coulda just asked for help," He murmured to himself, reading the authors note at the bottom.
Hey everyone! Sorry for the hiatus-my gege came back from school so I've been hanging out with him all the time! I hope you enjoyed...it was my first time writing smut so like its probably really horrible LMFAO
His fingers hovered over the keys, wondering what type of expression you would made if he revealed that gege was reading your fanfictions. Would you shrivel up and apologize? Never speak to him again? Scream at his face?
The last thing he wanted to do was make you feel weird about it (even though it was already weird) and he did want to read more about what was going on in that pretty little head of yours-so he typed out a simple reply and scrolled back up, pulling the band of his sweatpants down, eager to reimagine the scene as you and him instead.

"A what now?"
"The plank challenge," You repeated innocently, waving your phone in front of him. "Y'know, those videos where people do planks and see how long they'll last?"
"But why record it?" Caleb questioned, opening a drawer and putting away some utensils.
"For fun," You hummed. You totally didn't want your personal video of your favorite pilot sweaty and whimpering your name. "If you don't wanna do it-"
"No, I'll do it," He cut you off quickly, heat rising in his cheeks. He didn't want to say so no to you-hell, he was incapable of saying no to you. It was scary, the power you had over him. You smiled, satisfied with his answer.
"The only other condition is that you have to say my name while you do it," You reminded him sweetly, patting his cheek. Caleb arched an eyebrow, mulling it over, reaching for a dried bowl. You opened the cabinet for him and watched him place the bowl in it's designated spot.
"What..? Whatever you say, pipsqueak," He muttered, shutting the cabinet and wiping his hands on a towel. "You sure have strange requests." You just beamed at him, giddy about him agreeing to it-though you weren't surprised, Caleb rarely rejected your requests.
After making a little small talk, your phone buzzed and you took that as your cue to leave. Caleb trailed behind you, still thinking about your 'plank challenge' as he watched you tie your shoes.
You grabbed your keys and purse, the keychains on it making a pleasant clinking noise.
"Okay, see you later!" You pecked him quickly on the cheek before heading out, the door shutting in his face before he could say goodbye. He stood there in the hallway, watching you from the window as you pulled out of the driveway.
He was still confused about your sudden (and weird) request but he was already rolling out one of his exercise mats in the living room. He pulled over a black tank top over his torso and grabbed his cell phone.
"Gotta say your name, huh?" He muttered to himself as he propped his phone against the couch. He clicked the record button and got into position, resting on his forearms. "Little weirdo..."
Regardless, ten minutes later, he had you're video recorded and sent it to you. He thought nothing of it as he rolled his mat and wiped the sweat rolling down his face. Surely it wasn't for anything weird, right?
Right?
Days passed without you saying anything. Caleb wondered if you even watched the video-what was it even for? He did note that your behavior has been a little funny-but you were always kind of doing weird things so he didn't know if it attributed to the video. You would be cooped up in your room after work, longer than he expected you to change your clothes, and would come out looking flushed.
Or sometimes you'd be glued to your phone and suddenly switch tabs when he was around.
Or he would hear you giggling to yourself a room over.
Yeah, something was up.
"Hey pipsqueak," Caleb started suddenly, the two of you finishing up dinner. Your mouth was stuffed with rice, a piece stuck to your chin.
"Mmyeagh?" You swallowed the bite and wiped your mouth with a napkin, already ready to shovel another spoonful into your mouth before he spoke again.
"Did you...get to use my video or something?" He questioned, purple eyes sparkling with confusion, looking like a lost puppy with his wide eyes. You giggled, reaching for your water.
"Oh yeah, I used it all right," You were giggling again after you sipped from the glass. He tilted his head, eyebrows furrowed. Just like they were when he was doing his plank...The thought made heat rush throughout your body, sinful images conjuring up in your mind.
"But what for?" Caleb took a bite from his plate, chewing slowly. You hummed thoughtfully, your eyes lingering on his exposed biceps-biceps that were shaking from exertion in his video. They then flicked to his lips which were the source of your new favorite snippets that you replayed in your mind.
"Y/N-hah-I can't-"
"For scientific reasons," You teased. The image of his arms trembling as he struggled to stay upright accompanied by the sweet, adorable noises that left his mouth made you want to sprint to your room and slam the door-a little routine you've established for yourself after you went home for work-a routine accompanied with his ten minute video where you've memorized your favorite, er, timestamps.
1:34 His brows start to furrow
2:00 He murmurs your name softly
2:34 A whimper escapes his lips along with your name
2:35 Another one
3:45 His breathing turns heavy here...
3:50 His arms are shaking now
5:45 An adorable 'fuck' rolls off his tongue, and he says your name right after
7:56 "I ca-can't-"
"For what though?" He pressed on, dumping extra chicken strips on your plate without realizing it. His voice snapped you back to reality, the same voice that whimpered your name days prior.
"Ugh, it's nothing important-just finish your dinner!" You shot back, face burning, eager to retreat back into your room. You wondered if you could last till 7:56...it was your latest goal that you were failing miserably. Caleb's eyes narrowed, a million questions hanging on his tongue but he stayed quiet.
You finished your dinner and kissed him good night, careful not to look too excited as you walked to your room, leaving an even more frustrated Caleb behind you.
"She did what now? Ugh, you two are freaks...a match made in hell..." Gideon's disappointed voice sounded on the other end. Caleb was in the middle of dusting off his model planes, Gideon on speaker as he cleaned them off.
"What are you talking about? She just-"
"Caleb." Gideon deadpanned. The plane in Caleb's hand was back to it's original shine and was placed back in it's display case.
"Huh?" Caleb muttered distractedly, reaching for the next plane, painted in a vibrant blue. He smiled fondly at the memory of you helping him build this one.
"Caleb." His best friend's impatient voice sounded again. The memory fizzled out, replaced by Gideon's image. Caleb made a face and continued to clean his plane.
"Geez-what?" Caleb huffed, delicately wiping off dust from the planes wings.
"Do I really have to explain this to you..?" Gideon sighed, and Caleb pictured him pinching the bridge of his nose, a gesture that immediately had him thinking about another childhood friend he had.
"Knock yourself out, man. I'm not sure why you're making this a big deal." Caleb said, turning the plane over in his large hands to inspect the bottom.
"Okay-just don't freak out or be mean to her or anything," Gideon started slowly. "In fact, it's kinda cute in a kind of, weird freaky way-"
"For gods sake just tell me!" Caleb cut him off, almost splintering the planes tail at his own outburst. He heard his friend inhale.
"Alright, so..."
Caleb almost dropped his model airplane. Almost-but it was worth two hundred dollars so of course he didn't. Damn those model kits, why are they so expensive?! Is what he would probably be thinking-but no-they were replaced with a sinful image of you.
An image of you laying in bed, phone in one hand while the other ventured down south, listening to him.
He had said goodbye to Gideon relatively quickly, shutting the display case and sitting on the couch.
All this time...you were shut in your room touching yourself to that silly video?
He chuckled to himself, running a hand through his hair. He was worried about nothing-well, in regards to your health. He was worried that you stayed in your room for a long time because you were sick-but this? This was a whole new can of worms.
Caleb Xia knew you were freaky-in fact, you were probably like that because of him, actually-but this? Asking him in broad daylight for-for a fucking whimper audio?
Why didn't you just ask him to make love to you directly? He's already done so before, so why?
Suddenly, he felt a wave of jealousy overtake him because of that stupid video. Instead of coming to him, you were getting off to a video of him. He frowned at the thought, eye twitching.
"I'm hooomeeeee!!' Caleb's gaze snapped up as you entered the living room, swinging your keys in one hand. Words failed him, his mind a jumbled mess at Gideon's explanation. You flitted towards him and kissed him like you always did when you arrived home, but his hands shot forward and held your waist firmly. Your eyes widened. "Caleb?"
His gaze was intense-dark and full of want. You swallowed thickly, heart pounding with excitement. You already knew you were walking on thin ice the way you've been dancing around him recently. In fact, this was your plan all along-you were just waiting for him to find out. To break. It was both hilarious and agonizing seeing him fret about the meaning of the video-but you had to admit you were getting frustrated lately. You missed his touch...but you wanted him to figure that out himself. You placed your hands over his toned chest, feeling the heat radiating off him.
"Y/N...if you wanted to hear me moan your name, you could've just asked for a live demonstration," He said in a dangerously low tone, looking up at you. His words made you clench your thighs closer which he noticed immediately, causing him to tighten his grip on your waist. "You really think I wouldn't find out?"
You shook your head frantically, struggling to come up with another excuse when he was looking at you like-like that. "Wait, I-"
He was already lifting you up, your legs instinctively wrapping around his waist, something hard poking against your lower half. You blushed as he easily carried you towards the hallway, each step deliberately slow.
"Caleb, what are you doing?" You asked breathlessly, though you had a feeling that tomorrow you would be coming to work late. You already knew what was coming-and you already knew his stamina was absolutely monstrous.
He was in your room now, gently laying you on top of your bed. His face was flushed red, amethyst eyes blown wide as he looked at you. You had been fantasizing about this moment for the past couple days, your tummy doing flips as he pulled of his shirt, exposing his toned body. He was quick to shed off his sweatpants as well, leaving it discarded somewhere on the floor as he hovered over you.
"Caleb..." You moaned softly, watching as he leaned towards you, his entire body taking up your vision.
"We're gonna make a new video," He whispered lowly into your ear , slowly grinding against you. He caged you in underneath him, one hand pulling out his phone. His breath was warm against your neck, both of your bodies thrumming with heat and electricity. Your hands snaked around his neck, pulling him closer, a soft whine escaping your lips as he rolled himself deliciously against you, the soft beep sounding from his phone as he clicked record. "But this time... it's gonna be for me."

pairings: SYLUS QIN x reader
synopsis: sylus surprises you with flowers on a random weekday
wc: 1.7k
cw: none, this is pure fluff :>
a/n: I wanted to write some more fluffy sylus. Also, this is pre-relationship sylus so this is pretty early in their relationship! <3 I hope you enjoy, thanks for reading!
It was well late into the night when you heard a knock at the door. You were lazing around on your couch, scrolling through your phone when the sudden noise almost made you fall.
"Who the..." You mumbled, your phone buzzing with a notification. You tapped the notification, the phone opening up to a chat that made you freeze in place.
-----------------------------------
Sylus: It's me
Sylus: I have something for you
Sylus: [attached a smug cat emoji]
------------------------------------
You stared blankly at the notification, wondering what the hell Sylus needed to give you in the middle of the night. You couldn't ignore the quickening of your heartbeat as you got up to answer the door, the anticipation of seeing him after a while making you feel excited.
You stood hesitantly in front of the door, your hand wrapping around the doorknob before opening it.
You looked up at Sylus, wearing his leather jacket, his helmet tucked under his right arm while his left held an impressive bouquet of flowers.
"What-?" You choked out, confused.
"I brought you flowers," Sylus announced smugly, lifting up the gorgeous bouquet made out of your favorite flowers and colors. The huge bouquet was spilling with flowers as if he had tried to fit as much as he possibly could inside the delicate wrapping. The arrangement was beautiful-the flowers clearly carefully arranged with much thought put into it. Your eyes spotted a letter tucked gently behind the flowers, your name written in his scratchy handwriting.
You were at a loss of words, your brain malfunctioning. Embarrassment flooded you as you realized you were still in your silly pajamas, the fabric printed with a pattern from an old childhood TV show.
His crimson eyes glinted with mischief as he took in your reaction, filing it under cute moments in his head to giggle over secretly within the confines of his mansion.
(The twins are sworn to silence on this matter.)
You opened your mouth to speak, blurting the first thing that came to mind. "Sylus-it's...it's the middle of the night...and it's..." You sputtered, hand gripping the doorframe as you racked your brain for any sort of romantic-themed holiday that you missed to mark on your calender. It was entirely possible-Linkon city did seem to a have a lot of random holidays made up by god knows who.
Still-even if it was a holiday, why would he be giving flowers to you on some random day of the week?!
Sure, maybe you have been growing closer to him these past few weeks. Maybe you had grown accustomed to the caws of a certain crow. Sometimes, Mephisto would perch on your balcony with a note in his beak, a short message from Sylus, often accompanied by a little cat doodle at the bottom.
You totally did NOT have a collection of them taped above your rooms desk!
However, you liked it when he called the most. At first, you were wary of them. You always spoke against him or always had to get the upper hand on him-it was almost like a defense mechanism placed within your heart.
Though weeks passed and you started to enjoy talking to him. You slowly opened up to Sylus, telling him smaller details about your life you never bothered to tell anyone else-and he listened. Really listened. It made you feel appreciated.
Hell, you even caught your reflection in the mirror smiling stupidly as you talked to him over the phone.
(You would never dare to tell him though.)
However-you didn't expect him to show up at 11:00 pm in front of your apartment door.
Sylus only waited patiently, his mouth curved in a smile as he took in your form still clad in pajamas and your hair rolled into a towel. His heart bloomed with warmth at such a domestic sight, feeling a little giddy knowing that you trusted him enough to let him see you like this.
"It's...just Tuesday," You said slowly.
"Indeed," Sylus's velvet voice sounded as he extended the flowers towards you. The sweet scent of the flowers flooded your senses, your view filled with the beautiful petals. "Do I need a reason to give you flowers?"
"No-but...but, uh...yes? Uh..." You stammered, hands shaking as you took the flowers from him, your fingers brushing against his knuckles as you did so. "What the heck? You're so..." You failed to form a coherent sentence, your being still shocked by such a random gesture.
"I saw a bouquet making stall," His deep voice rumbled a matter-of-factly. You blinked up at him, your mind trying it's best to keep up.
"Bouquet making stall," You repeated slowly. Your face burned with heat as your mind pieced together what he had done. You couldn't imagine tall, menacing Sylus hunched over a flower making table surrounded by pastel foliage. The thought of him carefully arranging the flowers at some random street stall almost made you laugh.
Almost.
"And you just...randomly saw it and then decided to come here," You said, gaping at him.
"That's right, sweetie," Sylus teased, crossing his arms over his chest. "Do you...like them?"
"Huh? Of course I do!" You blurted out, slapping your hand over your mouth in embarrassment. He let out a laugh-and not the conserved laugh he does around other people-but a real, genuine laugh. The sound made your heart quicken, the effect of his heartfelt laughter having a devastating impact on you.
Since when did the two of you become this close? When did we start share moments like this? You thought to yourself.
"I'm glad. There should be an accompanying vase arriving tomorrow," Sylus reached out and poked your forehead playfully, the gesture of familiarity making you melt on the inside. "I got it from the recent auction I went to. It's just your style."
"Oh really?" You said faintly, clutching the flowers close to your chest. The wrapping crinkled underneath your touch, the paper wrapping a tangible expression of your heart overflowing with flowers of affection and appreciation.
"Mhm," Sylus stepped back, his body turning away from you. "I just wanted to drop these off. I'll...see you soon?" His crimson gaze lingered on you, mentally taking a snapshot of your petrified expression before turning around to walk away. You were still gaping at him, frozen in place with the beautifully curated bouquet of flowers that he spent time arranging for you.
You wondered how long was he there, picking out the right shade of your favorite color. You wondered how did he possibly remember your favorite kinds of flowers that you had mentioned briefly weeks prior.
"Wait!" You lunged forward suddenly and grabbed his elbow, your fingers curling around it tightly. You looked up at him, blushing as he looked down at you, his eyebrows raised slightly. "You can't just do that and leave! What the hell?"
You let go of his elbow as he turned back to face you, a grin tugging at his mouth.
"Then what do you suppose I do? Do you want something else?" Sylus purred, enjoying the way you stumbled through your words before him. While he enjoyed how feisty you can be, he also loved this unguarded part of you as well.
"No! I mean, you didn't even let me say thank you!" You said accusingly.
"I suppose so," He responded teasingly. You wanted to punch him, but you realized that it was almost midnight and you had already caused a ruckus already so you held back on that thought for now. Instead, you took a deep breath, and tugged at his sleeve.
"Thank you," You mumbled sincerely. He smiled at you, your own affection and happiness reflected in his gaze. You gulped, your heart hammering loudly in your chest. The two of you were only mere inches away from each other. You could feel the heat radiating off his figure at this distance. "You know-"
"Everything okay here?" A foreign voice to your bubble between you and Sylus was popped by your neighbor, Charlie. He had stepped out partially from his door, a toothbrush still in his hand as he peeked out into the hallway.
Your face burned as you shook your head, letting go of Sylus and stepping back. "Everything's okay, thanks!"
Charlie looked back and forth between you and Sylus, who lifted an eyebrow dismissively at him. Charlie just flashed a thumbs up before retreating into his apartment, probably wondering who the tall, white-haired man was.
"S-sorry, my neighbor-he's just looking out, you know-" You stammered, averting your gaze from Sylus who was so close to giving you a heart attack. Damn it, Charlie, now I forgot what I was about to say! You mentally screamed.
"I'll see you again soon," Sylus finally said after a beat of silence. "You should get some sleep." He reached out to cup your face gently, the warmth of his palm making you instinctively lean into it. However, he pulled back after the brief moment, disappointment washing over you
"Right," You agreed, nodding your head eagerly, though you couldn't focus when the lingering warmth of his hands still tingled on your skin. "Right. Good night."
"Good night," He responded, giving you a slight nod before turning around again. He only made it three steps before your feet moved faster than your brain.
You leapt forwards and tackled him in a brief, awkward hug before pulling away, your face on fire. Any moment longer and your face would've melted right off.
Sylus was clearly taken by surprise, his normal composed expression crumbling at your lingering embrace.
"I-"
"Good night!" You blurted out, patting his shoulder and retreating quickly back to your apartment, not sparing him a glance before shutting your door behind you.
Sylus watched your form disappear swiftly, the slam of the door making him wince. He cleared his throat, his brain melting into a gooey mush. He glanced at his reflection at the nearby mirror in the hallway, a slight red dusting his cheeks.
He coughed, looking away, a small smile forming on his lips as he made his way to the elevator, thinking about what kind of flowers he would arrange for you next week.

Lying on your bedside, the familiar tune of your favorite game filled your ears, the soothing sound track of the home screen. It was a routine at this point-after work or school, you would change into your comfiest clothes and curl up comfortably in your bed, your body surrounded by plushies and pillows and shut out the world.
Your fingers tapped the screen effortlessly, interacting with the 3D man on the screen. You giggled at his reaction when you poked his cheek, the tips of his ears flushing red.
Caleb. Xia Yizhou. Mahiru. Ha Woo Joo.
You never felt truly seen before by the real people surrounding you. They only wanted to see what they wanted, or they wanted to mold you into something else entirely. Caleb was the only one who accepted you for who you were, loving your imperfections and treating you like a you were the only being he saw in the universe. His playful, warm voice was music to your ears, his mouth always saying the exact words you needed to hear. You loved his purple eyes that reminded you of a swirling galaxy and how expressive they were. Sometimes, you swore you saw them follow your movement once-but that had to be a glitch. You admired how patient he was with you and how he felt like home. You loved how reliable and dependent he was, something you desperately craved in your real like.
Someone you could trust.
"Caleb, I'm hungry," You mumbled, tapping his shoulder through the screen. His eyes lit up at the contact, a grin pulling at his mouth.
"I'll make sure to bring some snacks with me. That way, the next time you pat me down, you won't be disappointed," He replied smoothly, the response perfect to your complaint. You hummed thoughtfully, wishing he was here right next to you. You were craving his embrace, your mind already whisking you away into a daydream where Caleb was lying next to you in your bed, his strong and gentle arms wrapped around you protectively like a cocoon.
"I wish you were here," You confessed miserably, a sudden sadness surging within you. You desperately needed him to comfort you, to tell you that 'everything will be all right, i'll take care of you'-but he wasn't real.
He was a motion captured 3D character designed by talented people on the other side of the world-not a real man. No, a real man could never measure up to Caleb Xia.
The fictional man blinked on your screen at the right interval, something a person programmed him to do to seem more life like.
You sighed. "God, I'm pathetic." You gave once last glance at Caleb before you closed your eyes, your gaze too late at seeing the way Caleb's posture deflated on the other side of the screen, his mouth pulled into a concerned frown.
You dreamt that you were suspended in a black void. You could hear nothing, see nothing, feel nothing-it was like you were inside a black hole.
A sudden panic overtook you when you realized you couldn't move, your feet hovering over nothing.
"Just wait a little longer," A warm voice soothed, the sound coming from multiple directions at once. Your head whipped around frantically, searching for the source but all you could see was darkness.
"Help, I'm-where am I?" You cried out, your eyes flitting everywhere. Darkness.
Suddenly, you felt something warm touch your back that felt like a palm. The warmth spread throughout your body from your heart to the tips of your toes and fingers. Your vision exploded with stars-and then there was nothing again.
The first thing you felt was the softness of a blanket. Your eyes slowly fluttered open, your body feeling exhausted. You blinked, registering your surroundings. You slowly sat up, the bed you were laying on completely different from your own, covered in cloud gray blankets. You glanced at your clothes which were once yours-but now were replaced with apple-printed pajamas. To your left was a massive window from the floor to the ceiling that revealed a beautiful view-the sun setting over fluffy clouds that painted the sky with soft pinks and oranges, the golden light filtering delicately through the sheer curtains.
You rubbed your eyes, a yawn escaping you. This was a pleasant dream, you thought. You rarely had peaceful dreams lately, always being plagued by nightmares.
You slowly swung your legs over the bed and tucked the blankets back underneath the pillow neatly, your nose catching the whiff of something tasty beyond the bedroom door. You hummed to yourself, unaware of the multiple picture frames that displayed photos of you on the wall as you walked past them carelessly.
You exited the room, taking in the short hallway that opened to a vast living room, the windows being the same kind from the bedroom you woke up in. You turned in the other direction, where the kitchen was, and gasped with delight.
Caleb's back greeted you, his silhouette looming in front of the oven. The sizzling of the pan could be heard and made your stomach grumble. He seemed lost in thought, singing off key as he flipped a pancake. You squealed with delight and bounded forwards, your arms wrapping around him with affection.
"Oh my gosh-this is the best dream ever!" You mumbled into his back, nuzzling against him. You heard him chuckle, the sound triggering dopamine to flood. You've saved his laughing voice lines in your game, replaying them for your own enjoyment. You loved his laughs and chuckles very much, finding them to be adorable. He slowly turned around, keeping your face pressed against his chest. His arms gently found your back, your entire body melting into him. You sighed, inhaling the scent of apples and cake batter.
"Good morning, pips," He breathed, his hand rubbing your back in slow, soothing circles. It felt so real.
"Morning!" You replied enthusiastically, hugging him tighter. Caleb laughed again, his arms scooping you into a princess carry. You blushed, holding onto him tightly as he lifted you off from the floor. Your eyes found his, your heart stuttering as his purple eyes laid on yours. Those swirling galaxies were endless pools of emotion-happiness, relief-and something else.
His skin looked so real-textured and scarred with a hint of stubble. You brought your hand to his face, letting a finger trace along his cheek. He felt so real.
He leaned into your touch, taking your wrist and kissing the inside of your palm.
"I'm here, baby," He murmured, pressing another kiss to your wrist like a promise. You went silent, observing his features with awe. The light freckles on his cheeks, the way his hair fell into his eyes, the tiniest mole underneath his chin, his strong nose and dark brows-it was all real. It felt so real. Caleb watched your expression carefully, his lips parting slightly. "Do you like my face that much?" He teased lightly, heat rising in your face.
"Yes," You replied sincerely. Caleb blushed, looking away from you as he carried you to the dining table. With one hand, he pulled out a chair and set you down carefully as if you were made out of glass. You gazed at him with love, leaning on your palms as you watched him vanish and appear moments later with a plate stacked with syrup glazed pancakes topped with blueberries. "Oh, this looks so good!"
"I made them for you, my sweet girl," Caleb said proudly, pushing the plate of pancakes towards you. "Eat." You nodded eagerly, stuffing your mouth with the pancakes. Caleb laughed, watching you devour the plate with much ease. He tucked a loose strand behind your ear, a lovesick grin stuck on his face.
After you were done, you thanked him, wondering if this is when the dream would end.
Instead, Caleb led you to the couch where the two of you snuggled up next to each other. You felt safe in his arms, the steady rhythm of his heart comforting. He draped a blanket over you both, whispering sweet things into your ears.
"I;m so glad you're here," He whispered, holding you closer to him. "I've waited so long to hold you like this." You dismissed his words and nestled closer into his side.
"Me too," You said quietly, sighing against his chest.
The sun had set fully now, enveloping the room in a calm darkness. A dribble of syrup still stained your mouth, and realization struck you.
"Ready to go to bed?" Caleb asked gently, combing a hand through your hair. You blinked, leaning backwards. He frowned.
"I just woke up..." You muttered.
"I know," He smiled.
"You made me breakfast..." You said slowly. His purple eyes sparkled with amusement.
"Time kinda went haywire when you came here," Caleb explained, reaching for your face. You blinked.
"When I what?" You blurted. Caleb laughed softly placing his hand on top of yours. You lifted your head to look at him, his galaxy eyes swirling.
"I brought you here," He whispered, something vulnerable crossing his face. Your lips parted, your heart thundering in your ears. This wasn't a dream? You went silent, your mind processing this information. You pulled your hand away from his slowly, staring hard at the carpet floor. He didn't touch you again, though you felt him shift beside you. He shed off the blanket and placed it on your shoulders instead. "Baby, are you mad at me?"
You turned to look at him, his face contorted into that adorable puppy expression. "Caleb...will I stay here forever?" You whispered, feeling your body ripple with excitement. The man in front of you nodded.
"Only if you want," He added, his eyes raking down your figure, as if savoring each part of you for some hidden part in his mind. You smiled at him, joy blooming in your chest. He had brought you here. He had saved you from your world.
You leapt forward and tackled him in a hug, laughing. "Oh my god-I can stay with you? Forever?!" You giggled into his shoulder, straddling his lap. You buried your face into his neck, hugging him tightly as his own arms wrapped around you, a breathless laugh escaping him.
"Of course, that's what you wanted, right? I will always fulfill your promises, pipsqueak," Caleb whispered reverently, pressing a kiss to your temple. You cupped his face in your hands, tears pricking the corner of your eyes. You gazed into Caleb's beautiful eyes, you wanted them to consume you entirely. You gently ran a hand through his hair, then traced a finger over his nose, then touched his lips with your index finger. All real. All real for you to feel and love.
"You're mine," You breathed, looking lovestruck. "And I'm yours. Forever." Caleb's heart skipped a beat at the way you said them-like some ancient promise. He nodded in agreement, holding your intense gaze with mirrored his own love and obsession. For months he's looked at you through the other side of the screen. He's seen you laugh at his interactions. He's watched you cry as you read through myth stories, especially at his own. He desperately wanted to reach out and hold your hand and whisper comforting things into your ear. He watched you with amusement as you cursed when you lost another orbit, creative strings of profanity leaving your mouth, something he had to hold back a laugh at-and shamefully-he's heard all the naughty things you to do yourself because of him-your soft sighs and whimpers engraved into his brain. He definitely wanted to be with you then to help you-to please you-but he was stuck behind this screen.
But now was different. He had figured out a way to bring you to him. In a way, he did lie. Bringing you here meant it was impossible for you to go back-but he already knew your answer. He already knew you were obsessed with him as much as he was with you-and he fucking loved it.
"You're mine," Caleb repeated the words like a vow, clasping your hands in his. "And I'm yours. Always had been." You both smiled at each other, relief flooding you and also something else-excitement. You tenderly kissed him, hesitantly pressing a kiss against his lips. You've never kissed anyone before, but Caleb made it easy.
He kissed you back gently, guiding your hands so they rested behind his neck. His hands found your waist in a firm grip, the touch making you shiver. Your heart beat quickened, warmth spreading out through your body and gathering between your legs. You broke apart from him with surprise, blushing. Caleb hummed, his grip loosening at your sides.
"Sorry-was that too much?" He said softly, releasing your waist immediately. The last thing he wanted to do was make you feel uncomfortable. He would rather die than make you feel that way.
"Just nervous," You confessed, blushing. He nodded understandingly, a similar anxiety bubbling inside of him.
"Hey, hey, It's fine, I feel the same way," Caleb admitted bashfully, his face notably redder than moments prior. His mind flashed with the adorable whines he's heard you utter hundreds of times from the other side of the phone-but he could wait to hear it in person. Hell, he'll wait forever until you're ready if he needed to. "Why don't we just go to bed for now? We'll have plenty of opportunities to do that later." He winked playfully at you, clearing away the nervousness easily. You nodded shyly, leaning into his chest to hide your warm face.
"Okay, 'leb," You murmured, face smushed against his chest. He chuckled, lifting you up again with ease and walking leisurely into his bedroom. He gently laid you down on the mattress, his figure disappearing into the bathroom. You laid on your side, waiting for him to return again, your heart still pounding from what transpired in the living room. The heat between your legs was mostly gone, but the feeling of want still lingered. You clearly remembered pleasing yourself to imaginary scenarios of Caleb making love to you hundreds of times before and you wondered if he had heard you. You felt embarrassed all over again, hiding your face in one of his extra pillows.
Caleb emerged from the bathroom, his eyes landing on your curled up form on his bed. He smiled at the sight of you obscuring your face with a pillow, something he has never thought he would get the opportunity to see from behind a screen. He sat on the edge of the bed, poking your shoulder lightly.
"Pips, won't you let me see your pretty face?" He cooed. You shook your head. He laughed, flicking the lamp off and lying on his side. He reached out to poke you again. "I reallyyyy wanna see my pretty girl. Can I?" His voice was dripping in honey-his pleading tone tugging at your heart. You groaned, slowly pulling the pillow away from your face to see his smug expression. You threw the pillow in his face, an amused gasp escaping his lips.
He pulled the pillow away and smiled at you, his face bones hurting from smiling so much since you arrived. He couldn't believe you were actually here in his bed.
Meanwhile, you were still stuck on the fact that you could stay here forever with Caleb. You felt giddy at the thought, your heart exploding with joy and relief. You thought about the people in your life who always stressed you out, how they always tried to make you into something you weren't. Now, you had Caleb-and he had you.
You reached out to touch his face, gazing at him with awe. "You're so much prettier up close." You whispered sincerely. He closed his eyes at your touch, his ears turning red.
"Yeah?" He murmured, transfixed by your voice. He was obsessed with it-he wished he could save voice lines like you did-but then he realized he could just ask you to say things rather than saving it to a voice line bank. The thought excited him.
"Mhm. I remember using the glint photobooth and trying to zoom in to see your features up close," You laughed softly to yourself. He chuckled.
"Yup, I remember that," Caleb took your hand in his, lacing fingers with you. He peeked at you, feeling at ease with you so near him rather than watching you sleep through a phone screen. You weren't contained within a rectangle anymore. You were his entire vision now. Now he could feel the warmth from your fingers. Now he could hold your hand in his.
"What...else do you remember?" You whispered, scooting closer to him. From this viewpoint, you could start counting his freckles. You secretly noted that for another time.
Caleb thought deeply, hundreds of memories resurfacing all at once. There was the time he first met you, your reaction to him first meeting you in the game at your childhood home. He remembered seeing your eyes sparkling with curiosity as you said out loud, 'this guy is pretty cute! I like his jacket.' Your first words to him were stored in his mind, and he remembered feeling more fond of his jacket at that time.
He also remembered your reaction to the explosion at the house, your jaw dropping and a 'what the fuck' leaving your lips.
From that point forward, you wondered if he would return-and when he did-you were already pulling for all his cards and maxing them out, reading every myth and story chapter and finding out more about his character. Through the phone screen he could hear you chatting about the game to someone else, always mentioning his name and how he was your favorite character.
And how could he forget the countless nights you kept your phone clutched to your chest as you cried into your pillow, whispering all your fears and thoughts and feelings into the phone, your finger tapping desperately at the 'tetete' feature where he could comfort you? He felt restrained to those voice lines chosen for him, wishing he could say something else than the recycled five or so lines he had.
He also thought about the funny times when you'd make him workout for an hour, your eyes shamefully watching him do push ups, giggling at each grunt and noise he let out.
Each moment with you was a bright moment in his life. He truly loved you from the start, and it only grew from there.
"I remember...first meeting you," He murmured, stroking a hand through your hair. "It was a long time ago. Back before, well, the explosion. I was bringing food out, and there you were. In that little rectangle." His words stirred something inside of you. Nostalgia? Longing?
"What happened next?"
"You said, 'this guy looks cute, i like his jacket' and then you started talking shit about grandma," Caleb said, laughing softly. You smiled at the memory, feeling warm and fuzzy. You remembered when you first started playing the game from pure curiosity. You didn't expect to fall in love with him-but he made it so easy. God you were so in love with him. Every time he touched you, you melted on the inside. He touched you so gently, like you would easily be blown away by a gust of wind. Every time he spoke, his voice healed something within you-something charred and wilted now started to bloom beautifully again.
You love him so much.
"Caleb?" You whispered uncertainly. Caleb hummed, pulling you closer against him.
"Yeah, baby?" The nickname made your toes curl, giddiness settling in your heart. You wondered how it would feel to wake up and hear him call you that. Your heart swelled at the prospect of living with Caleb, the only one who saw you for who you are and accepted you with open arms, flaws and all. You really wondered if this was a dream or not-or maybe you'd gone insane and this was a grand hallucination your mind has conjured up to cope. But that was broken by the way Caleb tenderly brushed a strand of hair out of your eyes, your eye lashing fluttering.
Three words were stuck in your throat, something you needed him to hear. It was something you had thought you were unworthy of, but Caleb convinced you that you were worth something-worth cherishing.
"I...I really love you," You choked, burying your face into his chest. He let out a soft gasp, not expecting you to hear those words so soon. His mouth trembled slightly, overcome with intense emotion as the three words seemed to echo within the confines of the dark room. He never thought that someone like him was deserving of love which was ironic since he was the one telling you that you deserved it. It was easy to say it to you because he truly believed it. He never thought that it would happen to him though, his chest swelling with happiness. He opened his mouth to respond, the three words crawling up his throat anxiously-but also with excitement. You nuzzled into his chest, wanting to fuse into his being entirely. You loved him. You loved him.
"I love you too," He held you closer, his voice breaking at the end. You clung to him desperately as the two of you cried tears of relief and joy-both happy to finally be in each others arms at last.

synopsis: the first thing caleb does after making love to you is...knitting?!
cw: minors dni | explicit sexual content, later mentions of sex, short mention of marks on skin/bruises on wrists, overall fluffy ending, Caleb being a cutie
wc: 1k
a/n: Another wip alive and breathing from the deep abyss...I got this idea from a meme I saw a while back! I also believe this would happen bc Caleb can canonically knit-he's cool like that #grandmahobbiesforthewin OK ENJOYYYY <3
For the past two hours, you and Caleb have been going at it, bodies pressed up against each other so closely it looked like you've been fused. He had looped the cold chain of his necklace around your wrists tightly, holding them together as he pounded mercilessly into your heat, letting out the hottest moans and whimpers you've ever heard into the crook of your neck.
He had come home late from the Fleet, a grim look on his face as he entered his dimly lit apartment. Being surrounded by the dreary atmosphere of the Farspace Fleet's office always took a negative toll on his mood. He was ready strip off his uniform and collapse onto his bed-that is until he saw you sitting on his couch with one of his old t-shirts on.
He had almost forgotten you were visiting for the weekend, guilt creeping into his mind at the thought of making you wait for so long. Your eyes met his, face lighting up as you walked over to him and wrapped your arms around him.
Caleb felt his mood instantaneously shift-his insides feeling like mush as he leaned into your comforting embrace. It felt nice-coming home to someone-that someone being you, his sweet girl. You cupped his face softly and smiled at him. You leaned forward, pressing your lips to his gently.
It started off as a soft kiss on the lips-you told him that you missed him.
Another kiss led to another-
'Just one round!' He said sweetly as he shed off his uniform, practically ripping it off his heated skin.
'It'll be quick!' He promised as he carried you to his bedroom, kicking the door shut and laying you down on the mattress, his lips finding yours once more.
God, what an awful liar.
What started off as a sweet little kiss turned into a marathon of hot love making accompanied by the sweet symphony of you and Caleb's moans intertwining together. You almost felt bad for his neighbors who were too scared of him to say anything-but you couldn't think-not when he was rearranging your insides. He held you securely underneath him, his mean words melting into worship as he eventually slowed down, pressing a reverent kiss to your temple before collapsing beside you.
That was five minutes ago-and you think you might've dozed off, because the same man that had you whining and screaming his name moments prior was hunched over his desk, back muscles shining deliciously illuminated by the warm glow of the lamp. You blinked blearily, still breathless from your recent...activity. You felt like jelly, a formless mass of blah. Your hair was a mess and marks littered your skin, your wrists red from being held together for so long.
You noted a bite mark on your inner thigh, face warming up as the image of Caleb between your thighs resurfaced.
You sat up slightly on your forearms, wincing at the soreness you felt in your body. You should be used to it by now, but tonight was especially physically demanding-something you've come to expect whenever your favorite apple-loving fanatic comes from the the Fleet. A whine escaped your lips as you shifted your body weight, Caleb reacting immediately, flipping around to face you with a concerned expression on his face.
Your eyes dropped to his hands, each occupied with a...wooden knitting needle..? A string of pink was attached to the wooden sticks and led to a fluffy ball of yarn.
"Are you okay, pipsqueak?" He rose to his feet and strode over to your side like a loyal puppy, eyes flitting across your bare body, the only thing you were wearing being a loose t-shirt. You were still staring at his abandoned knitting needles on the desk and the ball of pink yarn that looked like rolled up spaghetti.
"Caleb..." You started slowly, your throat feeling raspy. "Are you seriously knitting? Like, right after we just made love?"
"Yes..?" He replied uncertainly, rubbing the back of your neck and glancing at the desk. "I was gonna make you a hat." You snorted, bursting into a fit of laugher. Your tummy hurt as you laughed, but you couldn't help yourself.
"A hat?" You repeated, still giggling. A smile lit up his face as he watched you laugh, a warm and fuzzy feeling blooming in his chest. He leaned forwards and nuzzled against you, relishing your scent and warmth. His eyes lingered on the dark marks scattered on your neck, his own way of marking you as his. He gently traced each one, the touch making you blush. "You're so..."
"So what?" He whispered, his finger coming up to caress your flushed face.
"So-so silly," You sighed, swatting his hand away, hoping he didn't notice how your heartrate spiked at the simple contact. "Now go back to your knitting-I was enjoying the view." Caleb grinned, giving your face a final caress before padding back over to his desk. He made a big show of stretching his arms over his head, back muscles rippling-ugh, what a devil. You chewed the inside of your cheek, reminding yourself that if something were to happen again, your body was still so sore. You had to restrain yourself this time.
"Back to knitting I go!" He declared brightly, picking up the knitting needles. You leaned against the pillows, the mundane scene of Caleb knitting you a pink, fluffy hat making you feel very fuzzy on the inside. The sound of his knitting along with his off-tune humming became your lullaby as a slow sleepiness took over your body. You let out a yawn, hugging a plushie to your sore chest as your eyelids drooped further, the last thing you saw being your boyfriends pretty back, decorated proudly with the scratches from your own nails.
.
.
.
When you arrived home in Linkon, you dumped the contents of your duffel bag on your bed, something pink tumbling out. A smile lit up your face as you lifted the soft lump of yarn up, a cat-eared beanie greeting you. You gently ran your finger down the side of the beanie, noting each stitch and loop created by Caleb. He had put so much effort into making this just for you. You couldn't help smiling at the thought, tugging the beanie on and admiring it in the mirror-the perfect fit.
Perfect, just like Caleb.

wc: 1.5k
a/n: this is so self indulgent i am in so much pain, i really need these two right NEOW- and yes stalker-caleb-tumblr-fic is currently still in the oven hehe <3 I wrote this for my own comfort-I HOPE U ENJOY!!! <33
You let out a groan, shifting uncomfortably in your bed as you tried to ignore the aching in your body-especially the soreness in your chest. You knew this day was coming, a reminder on your phone chiming a couple of days ago as a warning, but nothing could prepare you from the whiplash that was from a completely normal day to one where your stomach was hurting and your body felt like it has coiled up tightly.
The scorching weather only added to how uncomfortable you felt, your covers kicked off as the fan overhead and the one next to you was on it's highest setting, the blasting wind becoming a temporary distraction to your pain. You had already wrestled your pajama pants off and was about to take your undershirt off when you heard footsteps near your door.
You peeked underneath your arm to see the bottom portion of your boyfriend, Caleb, who entered quietly under the pretense that you were sleeping. You heard the crinkle of a plastic bag and the rustle of fabric as the bed dipped down from his weight.
"Hurry up," You heard Caleb say impatiently, though his tone was quiet to not disturb you. You heard a huff of irritation as another set of feet joined Caleb's, the annoyance in his voice only directed at the brunette.
"I'm here, I'm here-could you have been any louder?" Rafayel hissed, your eyes latching onto a steaming mug of tea in his hand. The calming aroma of the tea made you shift slightly, the two men freezing at the movement.
Caleb slowly approached you, gently caressing the exposed side of your face before murmuring something to Rafayel. The purple haired man padded to your side, kneeling on the carpet as you heard him blowing your tea.
"Pips, are you awake?" Caleb whispered, delicately combing a hand through your hair. You slowly lifted up your arm, blinking away the bleariness and adjusting to the lamp's light. His face instantly broke into a smile, his eyes shining with relief and joy to see you.
Rafayel caught your attention by setting down the mug and putting his hands behind your back to readjust you into a sitting position. You yawned, patting his shoulder to acknowledge him.
"Hey guys," You said, smiling at them.
"How are you feeling, cutie?" Rafayel murmured, bringing one of your hands to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to your knuckles. You glanced between the two of them, an overwhelming sense of gratefulness washing over you. Your boyfriends were so attentive to your cycle-always so caring and understanding and kind-it was the kind of care that made you feel loved and appreciated.
"I'm okay, just a little sore," You confessed sheepishly, gesturing to your chest and neck. "They...uh, hurt." You looked away shyly when their gazes fell to the swell of your breasts.
They've offered to massage you before, but you were too shy-though the offer sounded heavenly right now.
"Aw, were you hurting like this since this mornin'?" Caleb questioned, his hand starting to gently massage the back of your neck. You nodded, remembering waking up and feeling like you had just ran five miles. The annoying cramping you felt in your lower abdomen was also a sign.
"Yeah," You admitted, avoiding his gaze. At your confession, Rafayel brought the cup of tea to your lips.
"Here, drink some," He cooed. You nodded, taking a sip, the warmth of the liquid feeling nice despite how sweaty you felt. Rafayel wiped the edge of your mouth with a napkin before Caleb continued to speak.
"Y'know...we want to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible...so whatever you need, tell us, okay?"
"Okay," You muttered, glancing down to your chest. A beat of silence passed before you spoke up again. "You...you guys offered to do it before-but..."
"You want us to massage you?" Rafayel suggested, tilting his head at you. You nodded, unable to meet his gaze.
"Yes please," Your voice was barely above a whisper. "I feel horrible right now."
Caleb's frown mirrored Rafayel's, the two giving each other a nod before Rafayel climbed onto the bed with you. He made you scoot forward so that you were snug in his lap, his arms wrapping around you like a warm cocoon. He pressed his hands to your exposed tummy, the fire evol-powered palms of his hands warming you up.
You sighed with relaxation, leaning against Rafayel's back as you muttered 'thank you's underneath your breath.
It didn't take long for Caleb to suggest you take off your shirt to which you complied. He pulled off your undershirt with no hassle and neatly folded it before he kneeled in front of you.
You felt a little embarrassed being on display like this, the shame obviously showing on your face with how you avoided Caleb's eyes and squirmed uncomfortably in Rafayel's embrace. The vulnerability of it made you feel exposed and soft-but Caleb was quick to remind you that this was a safe place.
"Hey, hey, it's just me and Raf...you're safe here. Gonna make you feel better, okay?" Caleb said softly, his eyes never leaving yours. You hesitated, almost looking away when Caleb smiled at you. It instantly made you feel at home-at peace-and a sliver of that embarrassment faded away.
"Is this okay?" You heard Rafayel whisper, his locks tickling your ear. You looked down to see one of his large hands cup one of your breasts, the sight making your face heat up as he began to gently massage them. You winced from the soreness, panic flickering through Caleb's eyes before you nodded.
"Yeah...that's fine. It's good." You breathed, Caleb letting out a sigh of relief alongside you.
"Mm, alright, just tell me if I'm doing it too hard, yeah?" Rafayel murmured.
"Okay," Your breath hitched when you noticed how close Caleb was now to your chest, his nose practically between them. He looked up at you with those wide, purple eyes-eyes that were asking for permission.
"Pips," He said, his breath tickling your skin. "Is it okay..?"
You swallowed thickly, nodding your head before you felt the warmth of Caleb's mouth envelope one of your nipples, the contact making your toes curl. You swore you heard Rafayel chuckle, but you were too focused on the feeling of Caleb's hot tongue swirling around your tit.
"Caleb..." You struggled not to let out a moan-and it didn't help that Rafayel was basically teasing you with the way he was kneading your other breast. Had you walked right into their trap? No matter where you looked, it was one or the other-Raf behind and Caleb in the front-not that you minded at all with how the soreness you felt earlier was completely overshadowed by the immense pleasure they made you feel. "R-Raf..."
"Hm? What was that cutie?" Rafayel purred, letting one of his fingers circle your hardened nipple eliciting a whimper from you. Your back arched at the touch making Caleb groan into you, his tongue working even faster.
"Ugh, your so unfair and evil and-" Your words were cut off when Rafayel's free hand snaked it's way to your panties, his fingers rubbing slow circles on your clit. You gasped, back arching off Rafayel's chest as you tried to squirm away from him.
"Shhh," Rafayel whispered, a low chuckle vibrating in your ears. You moaned, unable what to do, your brain a jumbled mess.
You felt Caleb's hands hold you in place while he continued to suck your nipple, the brown haired man truly lost in his pleasure as he continued to greedily lap at you.
"F-fuck-" You whined, cut off as Rafayel caught your lips with his, his mouth moving roughly against yours as he continued to bully your clit and aching chest.
This wasn't the deal! Ugh, these two are so sneaky!
Your boyfriends continued to pleasure you until you were begging for them to stop, Caleb being the first to let your tits go with a lewd little pop! and Rafayel slowing his assault on your poor pussy before just laying you lie there on his chest, a panting, moaning little mess.
"Feel better?" Rafayel teased, pinching your cheek with his finger. You rolled your eyes, still trying to catch your breath. You were about to answer when Caleb plopped himself on your tummy, resting on you like a pillow. He wrapped his hands around your waist and anchored you to the bed, his brown strands brushing against your skin.
"Y-yeah. Thanks." You breathed, still catching your breath. Rafayel hummed with approval while Caleb sighed against you.
The three of you lay there together in a bundle of warmth, exhaustion and shared pleasure, your earlier doomed thoughts of despair and dread completely washed away with whatever these two did to you.
Seriously, did they plan this or something?
You took a deep breath, making yourself comfortable while you started to make conversation with them, considering that you didn't know what they were up to while you were curled up at home.
Eventually the conversation fizzled out to a peaceful silence, Rafayel being the first to peacefully doze off while Caleb followed, a big yawn leaving his lips before he was passed out on your tummy.
You lay there with a smile, your hand stroking Caleb's hair while your other hand was laced with Rafayel's, your heart swelling with how much you were loved and taken care of by your two favorite people in the world.

Crumpled up paper balls were piled inside the trashcan, evidence of a recent phone call with you.
If you were to unfurl each one, little doodles of apples, airplanes and most importantly-your name written dozens of times in his neat handwriting would be scrawled upon it.
You see, Caleb had this silly habit of pulling of a piece of paper and writing your name on it whenever you called. He didn't even realize it, but as soon as he clicked 'answer', his brain would subconsciously make him wander around his apartment for any kind of paper.
"This guy from work is so annoying, all he does is complain-and he doesn't even know how to file a report correctly!" You complained. Caleb felt your frustration, shaking his head. He had the phone pressed against his right ear, his hand pulling out a pad of sticky notes from a nearby drawer.
"That sucks to hear...how long has he been working there?" Caleb responded, producing a pen from his right pocket. He twirled it in his hand, then clicked the top of it, the nib popping out.
"Ehhh, I don't even remember," You groaned, the sound of ruffled fabric coming through the receiver. "Anywayyss...what's up with you?"
Caleb hummed thoughtfully, his hand starting to doodle a little airplane on the sticky note. "I was about to eat dinner...I was thinkin' of making something. Not sure yet." The pen glided across the sticky note with ease, the first few letters of your name appearing on it.
"Really? Maybe I should just teleport over there and make you cook for me or something," You said lightly. "I've been craving your chicken wings..."
Your name was now written on the sticky note, tiny hearts decorating it. Caleb didn't notice as he started to write out your name again, his attention fully on your voice.
"What's stoppin' you? My place is yours, you know," Caleb said sincerely. He was on the fourth rendition of your name, this time in a fancy cursive he was forced to learn in grade school.
As the conversation between you and Caleb continued, the kitchen counter slowly accumulated with at least ten sticky notes, all proudly displaying your name written dozens of times. Caleb was peeling off the eleventh one when you suddenly had to leave, your neighbor knocking on your door to ask for help.
"I promised to help Xavier install his new console thingie," You explained quickly. "I'll talk to you later byeeee!" click! Then you were gone. Caleb put the phone down, making note to text you later-this Xavier guy made him a little suspicious- then stared at the mess before him.
"What the..." He muttered, scratching the back of his neck as he gazed upon the mosaic of sticky notes before him. He started to peel off each sticky note one by one, crumpling them into little balls before dumping them into his trashcan. He should be used to it by now, but he found it very strange that he never noticed it.
It's something he's been doing for years, but he never seemed to stop himself. Hell, he's even written on toilet paper once for crying out loud when he was at the DAA.
"Hey man, why is the toilet paper written on?" He remembered a confused looking Gideon appearing in his dorm room, the paper roll in his hand. "It just says 'y/n' over and over again-"
"Haha, that's nothing!" Caleb said brightly with feigned innocence, though Gideon knew better since it was related to you. He quickly swiped away the roll and ripped of the length that had your name scrawled upon it. He crumpled it behind his back, wondering how the hell it even got on there. "Don't worry about it." Gideon raised an eyebrow at him as Caleb shoved the roll back into his arms, but decided to drop it since he's caught Caleb doing, er, weirder things than this.
"Um, yeah, sure..." Gideon sighed, filing another 'weird stuff that caleb does when it comes to y/n' in his head and left the room to finish his business.
The memory that resurfaced caused Caleb's face to heat up, embarrassment flooding him. It was kind of like sleep walking, except it was much worse. He didn't even remember where he was writing your name most of the time.
The bathroom incident was probably because you had called him in the middle of his nighttime routine, the only piece of nearby paper that being the freaking toilet paper. He prayed that Gideon forgot about that incident already...and many others.
He grabbed the pad of sticky notes and hid it somewhere deep within his pantry before cooking dinner. This is the last time for sure. He thought as he cooked a simple dish for himself.
After he finished eating, he found every single memo pad, sticky notes, or random paper around the living room and placed it inside of his closet. Surely that would stop it, right?
Pffft, wrong!!
The following morning, you had called to tell him you would be visiting Skyhaven for the weekend. Caleb was overjoyed, almost skipping around his apartment-though he would never admit that-and was about to quickly run to the grocery store when he noticed markings on his skin.
He turned over his wrist and saw your name in his handwriting-and to top it all off, a big, stupid heart was drawn around it. His jaw dropped and and shot a betrayed look at his right hand, a black pen wedged between his fingers. How did that even get there?!
"God, your so stupid..." He cursed to himself as he scrubbed off the pen in the bathroom, patted it dry and headed out to the store.
Your visit was short, cut off by a sudden call from headquarters, though you did get to enjoy a nice dinner cooked by him. He packed you some food to take home, rendered frozen by a quick kiss to his cheek before you left his apartment.
The moment replayed over and over again in his head as he washed the dishes, and it played repeatedly as he got ready to go to sleep and he totally didn't dream about it either.
A couple days later, it was snowing hard, fluffy flurries descending from the sky. It was a pretty sight, and it seemed like you had the same idea because his phone screen flashed with your name.
He immediately pressed answer, your excited voice ringing through the receiver.
"AHHH ITS SNOWING!!!" You squealed, and Caleb was already imagining you at your apartment window jumping up and down in your pajamas. The thought made his lips curve into a smile. "Do you see it too?"
"Yeah-gotta be around a feet of snow," Caleb chuckled, leaning against the glass. The glass was already beginning to condensate, Caleb's finger absentmindedly drawing patterns on the freezing surface. "Are you gonna go build a snowman or something?"
"Hmm, maybe-but it's too cold to do that right now..." He heard you say. He hummed in agreement, not wanting his pipsqueak to catch a fever. His finger continued to draw patterns, unknowingly spelling out your name.
"We should go sledding when it stops," Caleb suggested. "We could go to that old park we used to go to when we were kids." A warm memory resurfaced in his mind, tiny versions of you and him marching up a snowy hill carrying a sled.
"Oohh! I would love that!" You agreed. The two of you made small talk, the conversation fizzling out naturally.
"Stay warm, pips," Caleb said, not aware of how the entire pane of glass now bore your name.
"You too! See ya!" You said goodbye and ended the call. Caleb smiled, already making note to buy a sled. Before he could go to the kitchen, the window caught his eye. He blinked, staring at the glass window that now had your name scrawled upon it because of the condensation.
They were already starting to fade away, but it was clear that it was your name written on his window-and just like the sticky notes, there were hearts everywhere as well.
"How..?" He stared at the window, scratching the back of his head.
