Say the Name! Seventeen!

Sooyun was getting her makeup done before going to greet her friends. The artist was finishing up some final touches with her eyeshadow.
“Sooyun, sweetie, can you close your eyes for a minute?” Her favorite makeup artist asked even though she didn’t need to. Sooyun already had her eyes closed. “Are you excited to perform?”
“Ne, but I really want to go greet my friends.” The girl replied before opening her eyes. The sweet older woman told her that she was done with makeup. Mark and Haechan tried to convince her to stay around the makeup artist while they were finishing their makeup, but she went to find Jaehyun. The ninety-seven liner said that he would go with her to greet her friends, mainly because Taeyong asked him to go with her.
“Jaehyun-oppa, let’s go greet our friends!” She shouted at him.
“Alright, just calm down. I think that you shattered my eardrum.”
She huffed and pouted, “You live with Hyuck, so you’re fine.”
The duo walked out of the group’s waiting room and saw everyone rushing around. Sooyun instinctively grabbed onto Jaehyun’s arm. They walked around for a bit, reading the signs on the doors saying what group had what room. Jaehyun stopped at BTS’s green room to say hi to Jungkook while Sooyun stood in the hallway and waited for him. She heard footsteps approaching and her first thought was that Jaehyun was ready to go to another group.
The approaching figures were talking and laughing. Sooyun recognized the loud, high-pitched laugh that could only belong to Hoshi of Seventeen. The black-haired girl’s head shot up, while her eyes searched for him. She saw him and Wonwoo walking together, carrying food for the rest of their group.
“Hoshi-oppa, do you need help carrying all of that?” Hoshi looked so confused at first, frantically looking for who said that. Wonwoo, on the other hand, had seen Sooyun pointed her out to him.
“Please, Sooyun-ie,” the boy replied while handing some of the sandwiches. She took at least half of what Hoshi was carrying. The trio walked towards Seventeen’s green room, having a polite conversation and teasing Hoshi. When they got to the room Hoshi kicked the door a few times. Wonwoo had warned her about how crazy the group was, but she explained that she is in NCT and friends with Seungkwan and Hoshi. Mingyu let them in and took the sandwiches from her while Seungkwan ran to hug her.
“Sooyun!!!”
“Seungkwan!!!!!” They both screamed at each other and hugged.
The rest of Seventeen talked amongst themselves while Sooyun talked to him and Hoshi. She realized that she left her phone in NCT’s greenroom and had no way of telling Jaehyun where she was.
“Mingyu- oppa, can you text Jaehyun- oppa that I’m in here? I left my phone in our green room.” She said while looking down at the ground. Dokyeom was loudly questioning why she didn’t ask him and minghao told him that it was because he isn’t as responsible as Mingyu. The tallest boy nodded and pulled out his phone.
“Thank you, oppa.”
“Alright boys, if you don’t know this lovely girl, This is Sooyun. She is a ‘98 liner and NCT’s only female member” -Seungkwan yelled while Hoshi quickly followed up with- “Say hello and get to know her!”
Each one of the members introduced themselves in age order and then as a group. It was like she had flashbacks to when she met NCT for the first time, chaotic yet somehow calm. Some of the members had questions for her, such as if she lives in the dorms with her group and whether she likes dogs or cats better.
“Sooyun-ah, do you speak any other languages,” Joshua asked.
She responded with, “ I’m fluent in English and Thai, but I’m learning Japanese and Mandarin.”
Junhui and Minghao looked up from their conversation when they heard her response. The next question from Joshua was about she became fluent in English and Thai. Junhui asked her how good her Mandarin was. The conversation was broken up by a knock at the door. S.Coups opened the door revealing Jaehyun.
“Hi guys, can I have Sooyun back so we can perform? She can come back after you guys have performed.”
“Jaehyun, I’m not a child,” she said while smacking his arm.
“Sure, ask Taeyong about that,” the brown - haired boy stated while pulling her out of Seventeen’s green room.
“I will… I’m only a year younger than you and the same age as Jungwoo.”
“I know, but you are the only girl and we all want to protect you.”
Sooyun rolled her eyes and followed Jaehyun to their green room. All she had to do was get changed into her stage outfit and get miked up. The group had about thirty minutes before they went on stage, so she had to hurry.

The group finished their performance and back to the green room. Sooyun had already changed into dress since the group had to go on stage later for a company stage. Most of the members were playing on their phones or watching videos. Sooyun was watching the other performances, commenting about how good they were to Taeyong. When Seventeen walked out on stage, she quickly shut up and shushed the boys when they tried to talk to her. Johnny, Mark, and Jaehyun started teasing her about having a crush on one of the members.
“I do not have a crush on a Seventeen member, you sentient tree! Mark, I swear I will unleash Hyuck if you don’t shut up! Jaehyun, I swear to god I will fight you!” She yelled at them. This only caused the boys to laugh harder and Sooyun finally put her earbuds in. She sat by WinWin and Kun, two of the quietest members, hoping for peace. WinWin reached over, grabbed her hand, and squeezed it. The girl pulled out her earbuds while WinWin started to ask questions.
“Do you have a crush on a Seventeen member? I’m only asking because you got awfully defensive.”
“I do, but the rest of the boys can’t know that because they’ll be weird overprotective older brothers and I already have two. I really don’t need eight more.”
Winwin only nodded his head. Sooyun was getting ready to put her earbuds back in when her demon child Hyuck yelled for her to come cuddle him and protect him from Jaemin.
