But as a dadbur and sondy fan myself, I offer you this:

c!Wilbur missed c!Fundy so goddamn much. He thought about him all the time in limbo, how he left him, how he was awful towards him near the end because he wanted to scare him away, how his son was now an orphan because of his actions.

And then he comes back to life. And he’s got a second chance.

But then he remembers what he did to c!Fundy. Maybe even recognizes through Ghostbur’s fuzzy happy memories that his son was nothing but uncomfortable around the ghost.

He decides that c!Fundy doesn’t want him, and doesn’t deserve to have to deal with him again. So he never brings him up, because if you don’t talk about it then it doesn’t exist right?

c!Wilbur won’t talk about him. He won’t mention him, brag about him, look for him, or even ask how he’s been doing. Because he misses his son almost as much as he missed living itself. But he can’t bring himself to hurt his son again.

So he’ll stay away and pretend like c!Fundy has nothing to do with him.

oh how it feels to win.

Ok so, Fundy is Wilbur’s son right? His son that barely got any respect, was constantly patronized and looked down upon, and was only seen as Wilbur’s “Little champion”.

Tommy meanwhile was given a command by Wilbur in the war, was made his treasure of state and his running mate during the election, and was basically Wilbur’s right hand man, despite being younger that Fundy.

That must hurt.

One of Fundy’s character motivations is that he seeks respect from others, especially authority, and that his own father favored this random kid (Or his little brother, idk what’s canon anymore) instead of him should really affect him.

Now Tommy on the other hand looked up to Wilbur greatly, he was basically like his older brother (Or was his older brother, again canon is weird) and was probably the one who was affected the most by Wilbur’s descent into madness and his death, considering he was always by his side.

And Fundy and Wilbur are alike, you can’t deny that. They are cocky, creative, stubborn, manipulative at times, and has little regard of the consequences of their actions. Lately now Fundy has shows a bit of his chaotic side, by standing on the side while L’Manburg is destroyed and planting tnt under the community house.

Do you think it hurts Tommy to interact with Fundy? To see the man he looked up to and admired, who lost his mind over a cause and dragged everyone with him. Do you think he believes Fundy will do the same?
