7: Sci-Fi This is not calmer.
One could make an argument that most of the Sonic franchise is sci-fi, but the first thing I thought of was the third season of Sonic X, when they went into space in a big spaceship that Tails built. So that was my inspiration for this fill.
(And I had fun with the banter and callbacks in this one. Also Sonic calling out Shadow for the absolute obtuseness in his refusal to explain himself in the original episode, at least in the dub.)

6: Pirates There's no place like No Place
I decided that if one of the prompts was going to be "pirates," and I'd finally gotten around to watching Sonic Prime in the past six months or so, I had to use that as the setting. So here's a brief encounter with Captain Dread and crew!
This is playing off of the idea that maybe the Shatterspaces technically existed before the events of the show (even if that means it's an AU), and a name-drop for my idea of the No Place version of Sonic.
