Chapter 1: First Principle: An android must be, in essence, harmless

This fic is based on an AU inspired by Blade Runner 2049 that I drew last year ✨ I wasn't quite sure how I could make a story out of it until an idea came to me, I hope you enjoy it 🫶🏻

Here, in this small oneshot, I explored Shadow's experience with his hallucinations and his realization that the wolf, forest, and Sonic were one. The Hedgehog Who Cried Wolf

Summary: Unpleasant memories are keeping Sonic awake at night, so he seeks comfort from the one person who might be able to understand.

Review: The characterization is really good, especially Shadow’s. I don’t often see people touch on Sonic’s trauma from forces (granted, I don’t usually read sonic fics, either) so it was really interesting to see such an in-depth interpretation of it. The second chapter was especially my favorite and page 15 to the beginning of 16 even got a few tears out of me. The fic overall is really wholesome and cute, and specifically does well with portraying grief and its effects (coming from someone who’s unfortunately very familiar). Could also be read as platonic if you interpret cuddling that way.
